Food is mediocre at best. Terrible service. Won't be returning. Observed server being rude customers next to us. Bad customer service. Not worth the visit.

Really nice service and cozy place, but I was appalled and perplexed by the enormous and wasteful portion sizes of both meals and drinks.

Skiing two days at Jay Peak, and a night in a very cozy, clean, well run Inn with a surprisingly greatRestaurant. Bartender/Host JR was so pleasant and helpful, consummate bartender! Cozy restaurant caters to all needs from sandwiches, to pizzas to entrees of enourmous proportions....Usually a midweek stay, in a remote area, at the end of the ski season and a large menu, not expecting much. Couldn’t be more wrong!!! We are from Gloucester MA and would never eat seafood in Vt. But JR talked us into it. Scallop/shrimp dish was as good as we get at home. My Pork tenderloin dish was literally mouth watering, and we will be eating leftovers for lunch as portions were enormous. We held back to save room for dessert and the Chocalate cake and ice cream was the as large and as good! If staying on the mt. I would drive 3miles down the hill just to eat there!! Waitstaff could not have been more attentive!More

In terms of good food, price, we ate here twice on our trip. Worth coming off the mountain to come here. The BLT's are awesome. Almost to much for one person to eat. Cheeseburger very good too. Kids liked both those as well. The other...food looked good. The chicken wings with buffalo sauce were okay. It just appears they don't know how to make these buffalo wings in this area of VT. No complaints, will be back next year.More

Stayed at Jay Village inn with my boyfriend for MLK weekend. We ate three dinners (burger, pulled pork quesadilla, chicken parm, and pulled pork sandwiches). Food was fantastic and the portions are huge. We split many of the entrees. The staff is AMAZING and they...took such good care of us. Felt like a family atmosphere.More

We stopped here for dinner on our way to Jay. It is a cute little place with a nice fireplace and bar area. Prices are a bit steep, but portions are large. Food was really good. We tried the poutine of the day which was...decadent!More

Less than 4 miles from Jay Peak, The Village Inn was a perfect spot for a nice dinner. Menu is extensive so everyone found something to their liking. The food was fabulous and such large portions I can have lunch tomorrow. The atmosphere was very...nice, rustic and comfortable with a large cozy fireplace. It was busy and our waiter did a great job. The only negative was one bartender/server was really rude. She helped by delivering our meals while the waiter was taking other orders. She was clearly not happy to be helping out. She basically threw our food at us and looked angry. She had to bring a second beer to our table and had a dirty look in our direction. Probably shouldn’t be working with people. Maybe just having a bad day, but that isn’t acceptable. We had a nice time anyway and were very happy with our meals. I would recommend that anyone give it a try if you are near.More

Ordered a JVT hamburger, made with local beef. Asked for medium rare, received well done. Sent it back and the second attempt resulted in a medium burger, this was our third time there in 4 years with the same lackluster results in the quality of...the food. They attempted to give us dessert for free but we weren't in the mood for any more food so they didny charge for the burger and blamed the fill-in chef for the poor food preparation. No desire to ever return.More

We enjoyed the rustic atmosphere . During ski season it must be lots of fun. The food was really well prepared but servings were definitely too large for seniors. The waitresses were quite attentive and pleasant too.

We stopped her for both dinner and breakfast. The food is much better than the food at the Jay peak resort and better prices. The staff was super friendly. The decor is a total cabin lodge type mountain vibe :). Portions were large and the...food was the comfort kind you like to eat when it's cold out :)More

We are a family of 4 with 2 girls (5&2) we go in restaurant is half empty (we are off season) we get sit with 2 spot back to the busiest alley of the restaurant with 2 kids ??? We ordered the spaghetti and meatballs...for the kids (12$) I wish the server would have told us the size of the portion when we ordered. We could have fed the 4 of us on the 2 spaghetti.... Wife ordered fish & chips batter was hard as a rock I ordered the BBQ platter, ribs were bland, brisket (1/8 thin slice), pulled pork and chicken(tasted good) stiff and under cooked. Maybe it’s because we were off season and the best cook are gone?? But we had way too much food (staying at the hotel for only one night) so no point of bringing it back and honestly didn’t worth bringing back.... well we ate a lot better for 100$More

Q-Trip: A real popular drop off. A vortex of great bar meet and meat on the table in a good restaurant. Busy, busy so keep that in mind. Loaded parking lot but super hostess work to fit us in on a Saturday night after 700...miles on the road. Our informative server Elizabeth set us straight on the hospitality path. Thank you. Real yummy home-made burg. My BLT was road stop worthy, and worth another stop.More
