Went for their rib special. Can't wait to go back to Vermont and have them again! Nice salad bar, too.

My husband and I often visit Cow Palace during our snowmobiling trips. It is difficult to find restaurants in the area that serve dinner after, say, 7:00. But Cow Palace is always a go-to option. The menu has a nice variety and we have always been pleased with the food. The prices are very reasonable. This past visit my husband... More

This restaurant has gone down hill over the years, it used to be one of my favorites. I don't think the menu has changed in years and the last couple of times in, the service was only fair. While still a decent place, there are better options in the area.

After viewing the elk herd - that's an unusual feature for a restaurant to offer - we went in for an early dinner. It was nice .. nice service, choice of portion sizes for ribs .. ribs very tender. Quick, pleasant service kept it from being average.

We drove into the parking lot and saw a field full of Elk. inside the dinning area the walls are covered with all sorts of animals. If you are an animal lover this place may not be for you. The food and service were very good.

I have been to the Newport area of Vermont about 6 or 7 times the past few years but until tonight had not tried the Cow Palace. I had envisioned it being a dark, somewhat repressive interior, BUT WAS I EVER WRONG! The atmosphere was open and spacious, clean and inviting. I arrived at 5:30PM for an early dinner and... More

This is one of the first times trip advisor has mislead us. We went here on our 20th Anniversary and unfortunately we're 100% unimpressed! From the moment we walked in to the time we walked out, the service sucked! Where is this salad bar everyone speaks so highly of? The drinks took 15 minutes to arrive, and then when we... More

Delicious unique food! Awesome atmosphere. Friendly service. Somewhat pricey but with all fresh ingredients make it all worth it. A must if you're in the area.

Cow Palace is unique in that there are elk in the back yard. If you are lucky enough they will come up close to the fence so you can get a picture with them. Service of restaurant was excellent. Food was good, salad bar and some different choices such as elk (if you dare try it after seeing the beautiful animals... More
