Our friends took us out here as a wedding gift. If you're looking for something a little on the fancy side without being stuffy, this is your place. These folks know what they're doing. BYOB, delicious cuisine, unique atmosphere, all around incredible dining experience.

In almost the middle of nowhere there is a gem of a Japanese restaurant. There is also a lovely inn. But the food is superb.....clean bright well balanced dishes are a delight. The service is attentive and sweet.

This restaurant and inn is run by a couple the wife of which is Japan born from a family of chefs. This is not the place for elaborate multi ingredient rolls but lots of fresh fish nicely prepared. The service is lovely but very slow.

This is a hidden gem in the countryside of Chester VT. Really wonderful Japanese Cuisine served in a very casual but comfortable setting. Michiko and Aleks are welcoming hosts and chefs, don't be in a hurry in this restaurant, everything is made to order. They both wait on tables and cook. Its also BYOB, so sit back, sip a beer... This is a hidden jewel. I had a 4-course vegan meal that was outstanding. Best tempura in VT. The chef/owner is charming and sweet. The 3 others in my party raved about their meals as well. I'm sorry that it's so far away from home or we'd all be regulars here.

We had dinner here again and it was excellent. We all had sushi, so yummy. I had Omakase Chirashi Zushi, I loved it all. Do not forget to order the green tea ice cream, one of the best ones I have had in a while.

As the other reviewers have said, you would never expect to find a great Japanese meal in this location unless you had done the research, but here it is. We called on Sunday, but they were full that night, so we asked if we could come on Monday. Sure, they said, and we had the place to ourselves. It looks... More

Not just good for it's unusual location, but really really good sushi and tempura! We go there for girls night out. Has to be the best sushi for 100 miles!
