Great food, good service, good coffee. We love not having to wait and have discovered that by coming really early (8:00 a.m.), we don't have to!

My oldest son attended UVM, graduating in 2007. While a student there, we were living elsewhere, Pennsylvania. So there was always a reason to visit Burlington. Drop-him-off, pick-him-up, Parent's Weekend, graduation. He liked to come here, he introduced us one weekend and it became a wonderful habit. Now that we live in Vermont, and he has moved to LA our... More

This was such a great breakfast place! I had the egg tacos and they were so good, so much flavor and food! The staff were so nice and accommodating. I highly recommend this restaurant for any meal. Also, it got really busy right before 10:00am on Sunday, so if you don't want to wait I recommend arriving early.

Interesting.... After a little Q&A with our waitress about my sauce options, I settled on "Rocket Sauce" (a spicy, slightly herby mayo, not thick, more like ranch dressing consistency). The entree came with black beans on the plate (the waitress offered to put them in a small bowl, which I gratefully accepted), 4 x 6" flour tortillas, shredded radishes (??),... More

My friend and I had a great lunch. She did remark however that a lot if the meals had kind of a Tex Mex theme. It was also very loud (11:30 on a Tuesday morning). The food was very good though and the service is great! I will go there again.

They don't take reservations here - instead using a list with a relatively long wait. That said, we went two weekends in a row and were told 1 hour 15 minutes both times but waited only 15 and 40 minutes respectively. The food is really delicious - so wait! Plus the service is pretty fast.

Sometimes places that are high on the list feel like they just stay there because so many people go to the place that's high on the list. This is not that kind of place. It was SO good. Bf had the chorizo tacos. I had the peanut ginger tofu scram. It was AMAZING! Don't say ewww, tofu. Just get it!... More

Driving back home from Smugglers Notch, we decided to stop for breakfast in Burlington. We researched our handy tripadvisor info and chose Penny's. We were not disappointed. The bustling atmosphere in the morning and wonderful meal choices were very welcome. The food was excellent and the specials were very unique. Great portions as well and good service.

After taking the red-eye from Phoenix to Burlington (with a 3 hour layover at JFK) we needed a place to sit awhile and escape the 9 degree weather (something we don't get much of in Arizona). The wait wasn't too bad, and once we were seated, the service was excellent. The food came quickly and was delicious. I especially enjoyed... More

Be prepared to wait and wait and wait. But, that being said, it is worth the wait, so grab a Starbucks and play some Candy Crush and wait. The food is so good and the staff is fantastic, once you get a seat, you will not be disappointed.

Thank Jennifer W
