Every time my daughters come to visit they request a visit to this restaurant for breakfast. Get there early and expect a wait. After a dozen visits I'm always happy with my meal here.

Typically what happens is I'll visit a well-reviewed place, order the "signature dish," I'll be impressed, then I'll return for the second visit and it won't be nearly as good. That happened during this trip in Bar Harbor, ME, but it's also happened many times...More

On a summer Monday morning at about 11:00 there was a 25 minute wait for a table for four. Once seated, the service was fast and efficient. The food was good, generously portioned, and prepared as requested. The servers were responsive to our needs.

We arrived just after opening and got the last table. Staff was great, and the food is amazing. Gingerbread pancakes are everything advertised. But it's the little things, the coffee, the maple syrup, the amazing fruit plate, that make this a true gem.

The omelette was amazing. I love omelettes and eat them when I can. This one just had Swiss cheese in it but was wonderful. Must try.
