We really only ate the fondue, and it was terrific. We also got it with the beef tips, so it really made it a meal and we did not have to eat dinner. My only advice, more veggies and less bread for dipping!

Excellent service and a feel for a small, intimate Austrian bistro. Great wine list and the best wiener schnitzel this side of Innsbruck!

We dined here with our 12 and 13 year old kids and father in law. The smell in the main dining room was quite overwhelming for my son. The cheese from the fondue was very strong but it did not deter us from ordering it. The fondue arrived with apples, bread and broccoli. There was cheese left over and more... More

Had a miserable meal there on Marvh 19, 2017. The Weiner Schnitzel, their signature dish, tasted like cardboard. The fish dishes were tasteless. Just an awful experience. Completely over-priced. How does this place get good reviews?//

If you've ever stayed in a Gasthaus in Europe, then you'll feel at home again. Even if you haven't, you'll certainly enjoy the European ambience of this hotel. Also has an onsite superb restaurant. In fact it is so good, you'll need a dinner reservation as the locals all know this is THE place to come for excellent food. Enjoy.

Growing up in southern Germany and spending a lot of time in Austria and Switzerland I was looking forward to an authentic Alpine dinner with my family. Looking at the menu we saw a few dishes we were expecting, such as cheese and chocolate fondue, Wiener Schnitzel with Spätzle, and Apfelstrudel. The rest of the menu is definitely more American... I was staying down the street and thought I'd pop in for a nice dinner. Hostess seemed flustered even though restaurant was virtually empty. All I can say is they need to work on the menu the food had very little flavor and needed basics like salt and pepper. Bland and overpriced. I'd go across the street to cena. Much... More

This restaurant was a very special and authentic. The fondue, both cheese and chocolate was very good! Great kids food choices and my parents thought it was gourmet heaven. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a special occasion or any trip to Deer Valley.

Given the ratings, we expected to have an amazing dinner. In one websiteGoldener Hirsch is rate above Riverhorse on Main. I would definitely opt for Riverhorse. The waiter, who obviously did not know a thing about wine, presumed to be an expert and was annoying, especially in his desire for the more pricey wine. Food was fine, but just okay,... More
