We had a lunch and dinner at the restaurant. We had the red chile posole and mutton stew for dinner. Both were tasty, though the mutton was more soup than stew. For lunch we had the Suzie Yazzie Taco and it was excellent. We especially enjoyed the flavor and texture of the Navajo fry bread. The "Little" Suzie Yazzie is... More

I got the pozole and fry bread to go so I could eat on my balcony. Pozole was mildy spicy, but less than one usually finds in the southwest. Food was ready in ~10 min. One of the best views for a restaurant. I hate saying the "view" but that's what it's all about. It was very cool during my... More

Great view, and authentic Navajo tacos served on "fry" bread. The food was good, but a bit heavy on the meat dishes, so if you are a vegetarian you will be eating iceberg lettuce. The view from the dining room is worth the price of the food. You will come out well fed, but recognize that this is not California... More

We really enjoyed our meal at The View. Three of us got the Navajo taco, which was delicious. Order the smaller portion unless you are a really big eater. My husband could only finish about half of it! My son had the Navajo burger, which he enjoyed. The staff was very friendly and the portions were huge. We were lucky... More

Located in the beautiful View Hotel in one of the world's iconic landscapes, it's disappointing that the food options here aren't more in keeping with its home. Although it was busy, the service was friendly and efficient. The food was pretty much 'cafeteria' quality. It was tasty and the portions big but that's about it. If you love coffee, forget... More

Ate dinner here recently while staying at the hotel. Got a great table right next to the window and really enjoyed relaxing after a long day of sightseeing while watching the daylight fade in the beautiful reddish monuments. The menu had some variety and the food was okay. Unfortunately no beer available. Convenient if you are staying at the hotel... More

Unbelievable, but this restaurant refused to serve me dinner because I wasn't a guest of the attached hotel. Granted, there's only a couple of options in the area. But they're simply not that great of a restaurant to afford this level of arrogance.

One of the worst meals we have ever had and we ordered basic, local dishes. Waited too long for everything, the SW chili was not SW chili. The Navajo taco was just bad with a wired aftertaste. My sons hamburger was 'a D'. Gorgeous view overlooking the incomparable Monument Valley but pack a lunch and eat on the terrace.

The view at this restaurant is amazing even at night with all the stars out. Winter time is a take out menu but with good food. Dinner, they have a good selection of regular menu items and some local food items as well.
