We have visited this restaurant several times before and have been pleased but on this occasion the service and food were poor. First there was a peremptory welcome. The waiter was pleasant but the 3 main courses came out each separated by 5 minutes and...More
I am not much into Chinese food, but this restaurant was better than I have experienced. The food was tasty. Everyone enjoyed it. The portions were huge. The service was good, even with place packed. I will come back to try the Peking duck.
I had the Coconut Thai Vegetables with brown rice. This dish is spicy but absolutely excellent. My love had General Tsao’s Chicken with ham fried rice which was excellent, too.
We tried the lemon tart for dessert which was quite good. Great service and great...More

The food was good, clean, standard Chinese entrees, what you would expect from a decent restaurant. But, long horrendous wait to get seated, crowded dining area, by the time we were served I was ready to leave.

My group of three went on a Wednesday night around 7:00 and didn't have reservations. We had to wait 15 minutes. They asked if we had reservations. I would reccomend that you call ahead and make them with a large party.

Yes, we sell gift cards on line (we mail them to you) or you can buy them during business hours at the Mandarin. Gift cards are the best way to buy dinner for someone else. However if you are dining the same night, you can pay for their dinner discretely and arrange it with the manager working.
