Stopped in here while staying the night on Randolph. It seems most restaurants were closed or closing around 8pm so this was our choice. It’s about a mile or so from the main gate. It’s a small place with 10 tables, seen many to go orders though. Our son enjoyed the kids sweet and sour chicken, sauce was flavorful. Wife had the orange chicken but wasn’t too impressed, said a little too soggy but flavored well. I had the broccoli beef dinner with fried rice, egg roll, fried pork and egg drop soup. The egg drop was delicious and not watery. The broccoli beef was skeptical due to not having the dark brown bean sauce to its color but it was still good with fresh broccoli and onions. Overall it was 3.5 on food, not bad.

Staff was friendly but quality of food and facility is not very good. I have been a customer for several years but I will probably look elsewhere

If you want very good Chinese, and lots of it, try China Moon in Universal City. Better yet, go at lunch for a better price and you will still have ample portions. Typically you get a soup, choice of fried chicken wing, egg roll or Rangoon, and choice of rice with your entrée. I have tried most of the menu and it is all good. The stand-out dishes are the plate of Chinese wings, lemon chicken and noodle dishes. Very large portion especially for the dinner menu. Service is very good but cashier sometimes has problems separating the bill.

My boyfriend and I thought we’d give this place a try. We ordered General Chicken and Beef Lo Mien. We got the following with our meal: wonton soup, fried rice, Rangoons, and egg rolls. The wonton soup broth was ok, however, the wonton was only the noodle/pasta portion. No meat. The fried rice was steamed white rice mixed with soy sauce. You could see white portions of rice. I asked the server was the fried rice we were served a substitute. She said no. I told her that what we got was not fried rice. I showed her a picture of the fried rice that was at our table. She said that was chicken fried rice. I told her what we got should have been the same, but without the chicken. They should be ashamed to serve what they’re serving as fried rice. The Beef Lo Mien - the beef was disgusting. It had an odd flavor as if it was not fresh and refrigerated too long. On a good note, the General Chicken was good. Needless to say, we will not be going back and I do not recommend this place.

Looked over the menu and saw they offered Crab rangoons. I love those things so I ordered a large order of CRAB rangoons. Got the order..not one bit of crab in those CRAB rangoons. Brought it to the waitress attention..she says they have not changed their menu in ages when they did have crab rangoons. Neither the owner or manager was available. I called a day later (today) and the waitress said they had never ever had crab in their rangoons even tho the menu says crab rangoons. Left my phone number for the mgr. Do I really expect a call from the mgr...NOPE.

Went to go to one restaurant, but they were hosting a private event for a family member. So, as we were driving home and still not wanting to get home and cook supper, thought of places we hadn't been recently. Unfortunately, that led us to China Moon. We've lived here over 30 years, and it was so good early on. Last time we visited before this was about 10 years ago, where we discovered no vibe, service lacking and lackluster taste. This time, tried to keep an open mind Walked in with full parking lot--so positive vibes. Went downhill from there. Please wait to be seated sign, yet no hostess. After 30 seconds, asked if to go order or dine in, then the cashier, nowhere near front door, says just have a seat. Different. Ordered our drinks of sweet tea, delivered quickly but we were still looking at the menu. I guess bad on us. After 10 minutes I looked to see what I owed for tea and ready to leave, as "hostess/waitress/cashier" returned (after taking care of two other tables who arrived after us). Decided to stay; again, the stars were aligned against us. Orders came, but soups delivered to wrong person, entrees came but again switched. As we got ready to leave, two leaning down on counter discussing shifts and positions for the next week. After two minutes, asked if one could assist with cashing out. Can't envision any reason to ever give them a try again!

This is a nice, small, independent Chinese restaurant. It has a very extensive menu and everything I have ordered has been great. It does not have a buffet so everything is prepared to your order. It is small & quiet. I have never had carry out but I have seen a LOT of people picking up orders.

i was tired of horrible buffets so my son suggested this place amd it was great. its a small quaint place with reasonable lunch specials starting at under $9. they have really big portions so bring a big appetite, ive yet to finish a single lunch plate. 2 entrees, a choice of fried or steamed rice, one egg roll and choice of soups is a great deal. the food comes out fast amd fresh. we will be going back regularly!

A whole lot of broccoli in dishes ,but no water chestnuts or bamboo shoots ,at least in the dishes I’ve tried ,but they serve a big plate of food ,it’s just a shame they use way to much broccoli to fill the plate up .yuck.

We visited on a Saturday afternoon, was not busy at at all, service was quick. We ordered lunch specials, and were very surprised how much food we got for $6.50! That price did not include your drink, but the tea was very reasonable at $1.50. I got the sesame chicken with fried rice, and sweet and sour pork, with wonton soup. It was all delicious, and I had plenty to take home for lunch on Sunday. My wife had the shredded pork with garlic sauce, fried rice, rangoon, not and sour soup. She was equally pleased! There are plenty of entree choices on the lunch menu, as well as sides, like egg rolls, white or fried rice, different soups, rangoons, and more. It was very casual dining, our waitress was very attentive, and on this visit there was absolutely nothing to complain about. We will definitely return!

TEXAS has a hard time proving to me that there are any decent Chinese food places ANYWHERE in Texas. It's mediocre at best. Was an old fast food place so it's really small. Worn down too. Food was just blah. Not impressed.
