We had just finished a junior golf tournament and were hot, tired, and hungry! Since we live out of town and were unfamiliar with the area our group opted to go to this restaurant after looking at the online reviews and the menu. It was...More

The food is very good but it's walk up to the counter, order and then go pick up your food. Not my idea of having a girls lunch! Pick up your drink at the bar with a coupon. Just not what I was seeking. May...More

My husband and I went to the cafe by recommendation of a friend. We walked in and were awed by the beautiful decor. We had trouble knowing where to go to order. After we got that straight, we had a lovely meal and have been...More

This was the first time ever visiting this restaurant. The food was nothing special; however, their customer care is woefully lacking. We dined there at 2:00 PM, Saturday, 22 July and they were not that busy. After finishing our meal, I went to their gelato...More

I hesitate to write this because I don't want to have difficulty myself going back with my husband. (We live full-time in the area now.) But that wouldn't be fair to the restaurant, would it? We have been there twice in one week, and I...More

In for lunch...Staff was well trained and great service... food on the other hand was just average... not what we have experienced before ... chicken was way overcooked and fries over seasoned and cold...Not the Black Walnut we appreciated before...Unfortunate!

This newer restaurant has it all: wonderful, varied menu, clean surroundings and is family friendly. If you do not know exactly what you have a taste for, once you see the menu you are sure to find something yummy. It is true that you must...More

Met friend for breakfast. They were not excessively busy. Scrambled eggs barely warm. While halfway through eating meal, I noticed a brown substance, which appeared to be brown paper that had been fried with the potatoes. Thankfully, I had not put it in my mouth....More

If you are looking for a place with consistently good food and willing to wait in line for it - then Black Walnut is the place. Great salads, salmon, teas, desserts - just about everything! But it is noisy and not cheap.

I have had the pleasure of visiting 2 others in the Houston area and this one did not disappoint! Their breakfast choices are plenty enough that everyone should find something that they like. We had a lovely breakfast and our Truimp Car Group was able...More

I would definitely speak to the manager. I have a couple of food allergies and just have to make sure of how things are prepared.

I don't know. They're owned by Hubble and Hudson now? Had no idea they changed hands.
