The food was excellent and service was great. If the restaurant was air conditioned it would have been better. Prices were high, but worth it.

Fried seafood heaven at reasonable prices. Fried shrimp, flounder and onion rings were awesome. Very casual location on the water with fishing boats tied up at the dock outside.

We ate here and some had shrimp and I had blackened cheeseburger. Everyone said everything is good. Large portions and great food! My son had corn dogs and he ate it all too.

Helpful staff. We went in for a drink and appetizer, to hold us over until after our boat ride. The sampler was awesome and so good we ate it all and were stuffed. A must visit in SPI!

EXTREMLY casual. Menu is basically all fish . Fresh, we enjoyed food, but atmosphere and choice of adult beverages was lacking. Reasonably priced. I had hamburger , not that good . Marguarita was just "ok".

I had the blackened shrimp, the kids had fried stuff. We tried the fish throats (fried). Throats were odd, but good. Onions rings better than he fries. The spicy sauce is fabulous and you can eat it on everything. Son said the fish was the...More

We were trying to kill some time grabbing lunch before a dolphin cruise. Dirty Al's was the only place open within walking distance. Food was good for what it was. Sodas were watery... ok. Don't do the stuffed crab, it was not good. Fried fish...More

Had the grilled shrimp. They were huge and very clean. Best onion rings. Wish they had slaw though. We'll be back!

Peel and eat shrimp was good as was the fish. The burger was horrible and tasted worse than McDonald's. Hard to get service and especially drinks that were ordered. Lady that cleaned off tables was very friendly.More

Description
About Us
Dirty Al’s has been in operation since 1986 and has always provided the freshest seafood to thousands of visitors from all over the world.
As a family owned and operated business, we have always taken great pride in taking care of each customer and providing them with a unique experience that they can only get from eating at Dirty Al’s. Dirty Al promises every customer that they will only be served the absolute freshest seafood caught in the wild off the Gulf of Mexico.
A Father and his Sons Make a Great Team!
Alfonso Salazar, better known as “Dirty Al” originally started shrimping as a young man with his father and 6 brothers. In 2003, he and his youngest son, Cameron, who graduated from Culinary School, transformed his bait stand into a restaurant where together they have been known for having “The World’s Best Fried Shrimp”! In 2005, his other two sons returned home to help grow the business. To this day, they now own 6 restaurants on beautiful South Padre Island and continue to bring only the “best” Gulf Seafood to each customer’s table.
