My husband is a craft brew fan, so we brought the family for dinner. Three of us got the fried shrimp or shrimp and fish "baskets" that came with a choice of potato and cole slaw for ~$11. Plenty of food and seemed to be...More

We loved our server, he really made our experience a lot of fun! The beer was good, but the food was just ok. I got quail pizza and it was very overcooked. other than that we had a great time!

Liked the Cuban sandwich, my husband said shrimps needed a kind of more flavor. They had alive music, which was great. The waiter was very attentive.

Decent food and decent service. Nothing extraordinary. Enjoyed beer by the pitcher. Building was hot for so late in the evening.

I am not a beer drinker, so I can't speak to that part of their business. I stopped in with my wife and her sister for lunch. They had an appetizer special, which my wife ordered and my sister-in-law and I opted for their burger....More

Food was solid. Service started out good but went down hill. Waiter was very helpful and knew menu his suggestions were spot on. From the beginning orders came out very unevenly. When we got to the main course the pattern continued. One person in our...More

My family and I had dinner there tonight. Neither of us was impressed. My Chicken club sandwich was solid though not made properly. My wife's pesto chicken salad flatbread was subpar in her estimation. The service was adequate though our waitress seemed pretty disinterested the...More

We took our baby granddaughter there with our family, however, I do not recommend going upstairs when you do that. It smells heavily of cigarette smoke........ we made them find us a table downstairs.

"The gastropub movement is well-represented on South Padre Island at Padre Island Brewing Company. Rotating draft selections include several styles of handcrafted suds; Texas Long Board Lager, Tailing Red Amber, and Speckled Trout Stout are among my favorites, when available. If you can’t make up your mind, get the “Sampler Tray,” a tasting of all five beers currently on tap. The menu is extensive—“peel and eat” shrimp, spicy wings, and fried calamari are popular appetizers, as are the chips-and-guacamole combo, ceviche, and nachos. The bar has won an award for its pizza, but I recommend the burgers. If you’re really hungry, order the Texas Burger, a double-patty, one-pound monster topped with jalapenos, mushrooms, and cheese. From the seafood menu, beer-battered shrimp is an obvious choice, and the tuna and flounder are also excellent." From Texas Highways Magazine, June 2015
