Be sure to stop in here for a casual lunch or dinner and get a flight of beer. Everything is really good, and the staff are very friendly.

What we liked most about the SPI Brewery was the food and the service. Menu and food quality is above average for a brewery, but many of the beers don’t compete with great micro-breweries, so I would call it a good-to-great family restaurant overall. Service...More

We've been visiting the Brewery since they opened. Once upon a time, the food and the service was as good as the beer. Over the years, we've seen the service and food go up and down. As of last week (August 8th) both the service...More

My husband is a craft brew fan, so we brought the family for dinner. Three of us got the fried shrimp or shrimp and fish "baskets" that came with a choice of potato and cole slaw for ~$11. Plenty of food and seemed to be...More

We loved our server, he really made our experience a lot of fun! The beer was good, but the food was just ok. I got quail pizza and it was very overcooked. other than that we had a great time!

Liked the Cuban sandwich, my husband said shrimps needed a kind of more flavor. They had alive music, which was great. The waiter was very attentive.

We took our baby granddaughter there with our family, however, I do not recommend going upstairs when you do that. It smells heavily of cigarette smoke........ we made them find us a table downstairs.

"The gastropub movement is well-represented on South Padre Island at Padre Island Brewing Company. Rotating draft selections include several styles of handcrafted suds; Texas Long Board Lager, Tailing Red Amber, and Speckled Trout Stout are among my favorites, when available. If you can’t make up your mind, get the “Sampler Tray,” a tasting of all five beers currently on tap. The menu is extensive—“peel and eat” shrimp, spicy wings, and fried calamari are popular appetizers, as are the chips-and-guacamole combo, ceviche, and nachos. The bar has won an award for its pizza, but I recommend the burgers. If you’re really hungry, order the Texas Burger, a double-patty, one-pound monster topped with jalapenos, mushrooms, and cheese. From the seafood menu, beer-battered shrimp is an obvious choice, and the tuna and flounder are also excellent." From Texas Highways Magazine, June 2015
