This is the second time we’ve been here. The first time we stopped by at 7:00 pm (they close at 8:00) and sadly (but not unexpectedly for a good BBQ joint) they were out of ribs. This time we came earlier! We started off with...More

The smoke odor in the air outside brought us inside and I loved the T-shirts that the staff were wearing. We enjoyed sharing their Two Meat Platter with plain sliced bread and two sides, but were disappointed that they did not have any Mac 'n...More

Thanks for the review. We can assure you that all meats are smoked daily and there is no excuse for running out of our Mac 'n Cheese. We have already taken measures to ensure that does not occur again. We look forward to serving you...More

Some of the best BBQ I have had the pleasure of eating! So moist and tender. Fall off the bone. If you're in Port Isabel do yourself a favor and eat here. You won't regret it! Two thumbs up!!

I ate there yesterday & hadn't realized there was new ownership. Very good improvements. Especially in service. Now owned by an Army vet helicopter pilot & his soon to be wife. They were kind enough to show me the pit & kitchen after our lunch....More

I had the ribs and brisket platter. The ribs were overcooked to the point that they fell off the bone and were soggy. The brisket was the fattiest brisket I have ever had. I don't think these folks have been told that to do brisket...More

Pulled pork, mac 'n cheese, and desserts were all awesome! Inside is nice and sporty. Best food we've had on our trip to South Padre Island! Prices good too!

BBQ is hard to find in deep south Texas and is usually over cooked and dry. Porky's sliced brisket was moist and tender and affordable. Service was very good and they offer the National Beer of Texas and others as well.
