Friday night. In Plano for shopping, we discovered Anamia's and were well pleased. From the chips/salsa to our entrees, everything was fresh and flavorful. Had the salad and chicken/spinach enchiladas (slightly dry). COVID restrictions were being followed fully. Service was attentive and parking is not a problem. If we're in the area again, we'll definitely return rather than go to the Mi Cocinas etc we have near us in Dallas.
My one critique is I called about 6:15 to ask about the wait and was told it was 15-20 minutes. We decided to take a chance, and we arrived in about 5-10 minutes and were immediately seated. The person answering the phone almost cost her employer about $35 in new business!

We are visiting for the weekend and we went here based on the reviews. We were not sure that it would be a good choice but it was close to our hotel. Well we were pleasantly surprised! When we arrived we were told it would be 20 minutes so we went to the bar. There was a table so we got a drink. A waiter was very prompt and chips and salsa were served immediately. So we decided to just eat there as it was actually a little quieter than the dining room. Our food came out in a reasonable time and was very good. We both had a combination plate. The taco was loaded with beef, the tamale was good and the enchiladas we both had were tasty. The slaw was wonderful! I would definitely go back.

This place has my favorite brisket tacos. The Tacos ala Mexicana have tasty tender brisket and then cheese and poblano peppers! The beans have a nice smoky flavor and bacon in them. And I like the little salad with tomatoes, tortilla strips, avocado, and queso cotija. Such a delicious meal!!
Super friendly service and a nice assortment of tasty margaritas!

They have a 2 burrito dinner on their menu. I don't know what part of Mexico these people are from but they are not burritos! They are soft tacos with cheese and meat and that's it. No guacalmole or sour cream included and they were incredibly disappointing!
Here is a definition of what a burrito is: a flour tortilla wrapped into a sealed cylindrical shape. These were not even close!

Wonderful experience at this restaurant. Seated promptly and got chips and salsa. My taco salad was LOADED with ingredients, not just the usual beef, tomatoes, cheese, and lettuce. The shell was fresh and tasty. The fajitas were cooked to perfection as well. Our only complaint was that the condiments needed to be on a separate plate, but that's no big deal.

Food was tasty enough but not spectacular. The tropical fruit salad was good. Chips were a little heavy with oil. Beef fajita meat was tough but tasted okay. Not bad just average. I would probably come again just to try something else.

Always fresh and hot chips to fulfill you desires! The brunch is wonderful. Their mimosas are great way to start the week. Their brunch is a brilliant surprise! Enjoy all the breakfast yummies or fajitas! We love to sit at the bar and enjoy golf.

There are so many great Mexican restaurants around this area, but this isn't one of them. The food is average, it won't hurt you or even really offend you, bu tit also won't excite you. You're going to get chips that seem like they came from a retail bag, salsa that may have as well and your food will be pretty bland. Don't expect much, you won't be disappointed.
On the positive side, service is generally decent and the place is pretty clean. I will note that you are likely to get "fajita'd". If you don't know that that means, I'll clarify. That's what happens when you go in a place and the person next to you gets a big hot plate of sizzling food that is steaming up the room and now you will smell like their food the rest of the day. Normally, this is to be expected at most Mexican restaurants, but it is extremely bad here even if nobody is ordering fajita's.

Great Tex-Mex food. The tableside-made guacamole was the best I’ve had anywhere. For dinner, I had the grilled salmon and it was cooked perfectly. It came with rice and veggies that were the perfect accompaniment to the salmon. We sat at the bar and had great friendly service.

Always good always consistent. Our go to place for Mexican food with good menu and solid service. Table side guacamole is a staple and the fajitas always great. Never had had a bad server and manager always roaming which is a good sign

We had a party of 7, but were seated right away on a Friday night. Service was slow, but most of us enjoyed our selections. The table-side guac was lovely. My biggest complaint was the noise level...we could barely hear each other.

My wife and I love Tex Mex and this is one of the best places around. Margarita's and sangrias are the best in town. Their brisket nachos are great. We probably go once a month and are never disappointed with the food or service.

Excellent Food, Atmosphere, and Service. We always eat at Anamia’s when we are in Plano. Make sure to get the prepared at table Guacamole.

Had lunch and loved it. Friend had one of their many enchilada dishes, and said it was great. I had a half brisket quesadilla and a side guacamole salad. I was glad I did because the guacamole was fantastic! Really good. So was my quesadilla. Had a bite of friend’s Tres Leches cake for dessert and it was yummy. Service very friendly. Also like the atmosphere which was different. A more modern feel with contemporary Mexican decor touches, not the typical cheesy Tijuana look of most Tex mex places. Will definitely return to Anamia’s.
