Our first visit and not at all disappointed. Kids got chicken curry plate. Everyone was happy. Hubby was also happy with his choice. My oxtail soup were still quite fatty and could have cooked longer, but still good. Little place with big portions, friendly staff and good flavors. Cabbage is really good too.

Taste of the Islands is hidden in the elbow of an unassuming 70's small strip center. You'll be tempted to drive right by, but then you'd be missing out on some good and inexpensive Carrribean food, which seems to be a rarity in the area. It's a simple little spot, both inside and out, except for the brightly colored attached... More

Stopped here for lunch today and I have to say this was worth the drive. The food tasted exactly like the food we had in the Caribbean. It's nothing fancy, a little hole in the wall in a stupid mall. I had the curried chicken and my husband had the curried beef. It came with delicious rice, cabbage and spinach.... More

Yesterday was my first time trying this place out. I had the Curry goat with spinach. It was okay....not overly flavorful. But I think I'll give the place another shot. I think my bill was a little high but I didn't realize the discrepancy until I left. It's an average/above average place.

The food there is just marginal not authentic and I would expect. I ordered curry goat and dhal porrie and it was not tasty to even eat so I threw it out. I will keep going there just to buy my carribbean groceries and stay away from the food. I have also been there for a Soca party and had... More

We had the jerk chicken and stewed tilapia. It was delicious and very large servings. The staff is friendly and answered all our questions. They also have a bar next door that has live music at times. They also sell Jamaican sauces, plantain chips etc in the general store part.
