This place has the best German food that I have had in Houston area so far. It's close to the house so I frequent this place. Great beer and live music on weekends (the band is great also). We split the King's Sampler (get the Jaeger** sauce **spelling). The service has been good every time I have been but they... More

Dropped in for a beer and observed the food and service. The menu contains a solid German food offering. Hey have a dozengerman beers bottled and vom fass. The atmosphere was convivial with many drop ins during our stay.

I came here with 10 friends on a Wednesday night. We were able to reserve a table, and it was also not too packed, so we were seated quickly. Our waiter Luke was great! He was attentive, speedy, and helpful! Seemed to be a pro at dealing with a large party, and he even split our bills by name, remembering... More

We have learned not to go here without a reservation. We enjoy the food - homemade sausages and great vegetables. My husband loves the roulade when they have it on the menu, even the goulash has a lot of flavor. I cannot suggest any of the desserts, we have not been impressed with any of them. So - use your... Went here for brunch with Houston Off-Leash K-9 Trainers for Rogue (Great Dane) to learn Restaurant Manners for training as a Therapy Dog. Service was good, and the staff was friendly. The menu is full of all yummy goodness, including breakfast and lunch items, at prices that won't kill your account, just make it groan a little. We started off... More

We went early,so I didn't make a reservation. Apparently, you need a reservation if you want to eat inside instead of on the patio. (In all fairness, there were 8 people in our party) The patio wasn't too bad, but it is still HOT in this part of the world, and the tables in the shade were "reserved" for other parties,... More

My group waited in line to get in the Octoberfest event. Then waited in line at the only beverage service, then waited in line at the only food service. Two hours waiting in three lines to get in, for a beer and for a sausage, I am not exaggerating either, sucked out all the fun of Octoberfest for us. The... More

King's Biergarten is an exception to the typically hokey or overblown "German" restaurants prevalent in much of America. While there are exceptions, like the highly rated and well-known Chicago Brauhaus at Chicago's Lincoln Square, King's rates right up there with the best. Great appetizers, a wide choice of authentic German dishes, and great, real German draft beers to wash them... More

Kings always provides great food and a wonderful variety of beers. The food is so good it's hard to pick a favorite. It's no wonder it gets reviews as "best German restaurant in America" Service is good and the owner, Hans Sitter, an Austrian, is usually around to make sure everything is good . The Octoberfest celebration is huge every... More

I have been to Germany and this certainly is not acceptable German cuisine. The sausage is good but everything else is disgusting. My friends from Germany visited and said the place looked like a circus and Germans at home would be laughing. It is more of a carnival atmosphere than anything. Lousy food and often lousy attitudes by staff.
