We went to Coopers in Austin and, as this was close to the place we were staying, we went there after a long days sightseeing. We were not disappointed. Whilst it lacked the ambiance of the place in Austin being much more fast food style the barbecue was all we could have wanted. Juicy chicken, perfect brisket and good sides.... More

After a full day of waterpark fun, we went to Cooper`s because we had drive by and thought it looked fun. Luckily it wasn't crowded otherwise I would have been embarrassed trying to order. You order the meat by the pound and all the meat is just set on a red tray. We had the adults and five kids. I... More

As a bbq competition competitor I hold bbq to a very high standard for bbq and this place is the best in my book. I've eaten at nearly 100 bbq restaurants across the country and Coopers hold the brisket and bbq sauce title in my eyes. I love ordering from the pit as you walk in and the Texas authenticity... The food was really good but, it seemed fairly expensive. Maybe it is because I have never eaten in a southern BBQ place before, but eating off paper and cleaning up ourselves wasn't a great deal for the amount of money you have to pay. The atmosphere was good home town feeling, staff was courteous, and the place was full.

Great place for BBQ with a huge pit with assorted chicken, sausages, brisket, ribs and many others. Beef ribs were "melt-in-you-mouth" delicious with no need for additional sauce. Love the potato salad. Mac and cheese is good too. Since it is cafeteria style be careful how much you order as we left with a big container of leftovers. But that... More

This is fantastic BBQ! Staff friendly, and helpful. I would skip the meat and just have peach cobbler.

Went there after floating on the Comal and were very hungry. All 4 of us got different things, I got a chopped beef sandwich and it was good but half way thru got so greasy. The ribs were good and the sliced turkey was superb! Very clean place tho. And you can refill your drink all you want.

Coopers is a good bbq restaurant. They pit smoke all their meats the meat is sold by the pound so you can get as little or as much as you want. The sides are great I would recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting good texas bbq!
