I have never been to Midland so relied on Trip Advisor ranking. This was the top rated Italian restaurant and I now know why. The food was fantastic, service exceptional. We had the lasagna and the combo spaghetti and beef ravioli. They came with salad...as well. The prices are unbelievable-very low for the quality and quantity received. If I am ever back in Midland I would definitely put this at the top of my list for restaurants.More

Had the combo nation spaghetti, and ravioli meal and it was quite tasty. The service was good but the new waiter tried to charge us for the salad, which was included in the meal, Could not find off street parking. The lasagna was ok, but...not outstanding.More

I love Luigi's Italian Restaurant. I think it is the best downtown option for a date night with one solitary exception. Parking :-( However, once you get the vehicle taken care of it gets exponentially better. My favorite is the Baked Lasagna with a nice...Merlot. Make sure you save room for a Tiramisu at the end. This is a great prelude to an evening at Summer Mummers and the walk from Luigi's to the theater is just the right distance to move that pasta around before you spend the night laughing at the antics of the SM crew!More

It’s like a setting from the old Italian mafia days. Everything is authentic old school style. Homemade pizza is a big hit for the kids. It’s a small place and you can call ahead to make reservations.

Great food. Feels like a step back in time. You feel like it’s one of the old mob boss hang outs you see in the movies. Lol. Homemade small pizza the kids love, traditional Italian menus for adults. Fun atmosphere. Located downtown.

Absolutely charming spot downtown, authentic atmosphere down to the candles in wine bottles on each table, and delicious aroma when you walk in. Full bar. Food is traditional basic (large menu however) Italian, so don't expect exotic choices. Very reasonable prices, even on the wine....Good portions, not huge. Sweet waitstaff. Highly recommend to families.More

By far the best Italian food in Midland. The restaurant has been there since the 1960's, and still has the original cozy atmosphere, great service and food.

The atmosphere was better than the quality of the food . It’s your typical Italian restaurant with checkered tablecloth and wine bottle candles nestled in a speakeasy type setting. The smell when you walk in is great! We ordered chicken parmigiana and lasagna and were...surprised by how small the portions were. It tasted okay but was not filling enough so we ordered a side of meatballs; big mistake! They tasted like sawdust and the sauce on top was watered down like they were sitting in a water bath. It’s okay for someone who doesn’t do Italian food often, but I’ll stick with my home cooking.More

We ate at Luigi’s Saturday evening, despite the mixed reviews. The restaurant was busy, but we were seated after a few minutes. I had the lasagne, my husband has the chicken parmesan, and our son had the chicken fettuccini alfredo. All were delicious! The dinners...came with salad or minestrone soup (loved it).More

Good food was had here, with a choice of price options available. We were in town for a swim meet and we were wearing shorts. There is a sign saying proper attire needed to keep in the spirit of a good family atmosphere. My daughters...are 16 and 12, and being a Dad I always think their shorts are too short, these were keeping with the style of the day. Owner (I think) made a comment to her hostess about how our menus needed to be disinfected after use that she didn’t think I heard. Thank goodness my kids didn’t hear. After a long day I wanted to get them fed and put to bed so I assumed I took the comment out of context. Still hoping I did. I typically don’t like restaurant meatballs, but these were pretty good. I did like the old school atmosphere. The spaghetti meat sauce was good too.More
