on a girls holiday last year we went here on the first night and then again 2 more nights.. the food is bloody yummy!! so much flavour and beautiful welcoming into the restuarant! even thinking about just going back to eat here again!
We have been coming to Santa ponsa the last 5 years and luckily enough early on as we were recommended by a friend to try out Krishna. Now years later we have made it a tradition to come every year since for our last meal...of the holiday to finish on a high.
The food is always magnificent, not only is it the best meal we have on our holiday but it is also one of the best Indians we have ever had.
It's located a little out from the main area of Santa Ponsa being on the opposite side of the beach but it is well worth the 10 minute walk.
This year in particular we struggled to find a decent meal during our stay with the food being fairly average. We even went to a more expensive restaurant but were surprised that the price did not match the quality of food which was bland and over priced.
The same can not be said for Krishna, the food is absolutely bursting with flavour and we always like to try a new dish when we are here. So far we have not had one bad meal.
Everyone in the restaurant are always very welcoming and friendly and it is only a 2 minute walk to the beach so the location is still very good.
We will continue to visit here as long as we visit Santa Ponsa as it is easily the best restaurant around.
A huge thank you to everyone at Krishna for your hospitality and wonderful food
Only five minutes away from our hotel we fell upon this delightful restaurant and was impressed with Service , Food and Presentation of all dishes served
The starters of Poppadum’s , Chutneys were Fresh & Crisp plus my Prawn Puri was full of flavour and...firm prawns 🍤
To follow we ordered Chicken Shashlik , Chicken Jalfrezi and Chicken Biriyani along with Rice , Onion Bhajis plus Butter Nan
Everything along with hot plates were served swiftly and I must say the portions were huge in size and all dishes had lovely flavours as in Ginger , Coriander , Chilli and all of us declared the restaurant was a good choice made by all of us
Desserts were declined but the bill for three of us with Beers , Bottle of House Wine 🍷 came to 75.00 Euros 💶
We highly recommend this establishment if Indian food is your fix whilst in the report of Santa PonsaMore
We ordered some take away dishes and found them to be of very poor standard considering the price. The korma was not nice at all, it had very little taste and the color was all off. Wouldn’t recommend.
Have visited here before, the food was great but disappointed with two things, the first was my own fault for not checking the menu, ordered Bombay potatoes as a side dish, could not believe the charge was €6.50 when I pay €2.95 at home and...secondly the customer service was not up to it’s usual standard, it seemed as it was a chore to serve us.More
So we have never been a family who does vurry/chinese ect on holiday. We usually stick to the local cuisine or cook in the appartment.
We all really fancied some indian food and after looking up reviews found krishna to be the most local and...best reviewed restaurant near where we are staying, we got a nice table outside and ordered some drinks and popadoms, these came out and were soft as if they were a day old and the trio of sauces looked like they were made yesterday, we dont like to make a fuss and just hoped the mains were better.. we already had in mind that we fancied a mixed grill so were quick to order 2 and some rice and naan bread. Food came quickly and looked alright. We were given a bowl of house curry sauce with our mixed grill which id never heard of before, it was 'ok' and soon figured out it was because the meat was so dry it was a necessity. Incut open the tandoori chicken on my plate and it was raw, totally uncooked and bloody in the middle, partners was fine. I sent it back and they recooked the same bit and brought it out to me cremated..
Rice was fine but you cant really go wrong with that and same for the bread..
Such a dissapointment and the staff wernt very friendly either.
Ill stick to eating indian in India and spanish food in spain..More
My last review of Krishna was critical. I queried whether the chef was absent because the food standard was so far below normal.
Well they’re back! Whatever the issue the food this time - for a group of 9 all ordering individually - was excellent....Delicious dishes with carefully balanced spices.
My faith is restored that this is the best Indian restaurant in Santa Ponsa.
However I would note
1. It took 70 minutes to get anything more than popadoms in front of us ( I know it’s a challenge for 9 but that’s too long )
2. One of the urinals is covered with a black plastic bag. Not a good look in any food outlet.
Time to lift your total game guysMore
