We were staying at the parador and decided to eat there rather than walk into town. The food was good and well prepared/presented. Not a huge choice but enough for us. The only slight let down was that the restaurant - I think it was...More

The setting of the restaurant in this former convent is worth the visit but the actual fare provided is less sublime in the context of its reputation. The cuisine is regional and had its creative touch, but the delicacy of the asadillo was undermined by...More

The dining room beamed ceiling is quite beautiful, the local food is good, including a pork stew that has large chunks of juicy and tender meat. As usual, service is good and helpful.

The food, as with all Paradores, is representative of the locality. It was presented well, tasted good and was imaginative. The service was timely and friendly. Well worth a visit.

Paradores are a reference as historical hotels in Spain and the Parador of Almagro is a great place to stay. Full of character, nice and comfortable rooms, great service. Another Parador we have enjoyed very much.

We ate here on our first night and were so glad we did. We were greeted with a complimentary glass of sangria to toast the fiesta de Sant Joan. Once seated we chose from the set Spring menu at 30 euros. There was plenty of...More

We had two nights here, the gluten free choice was really plentiful and good value. The half board choice was also a choice of local dishes as well as the standard excellence of the parador selections. The wine choices are also good value.

I am an "Amigo de Paradores," and Amagro is in my top five! Staff are well-informed and helpful, food is quite good if a bit pricey, all served in the spectacular setting of a rambling 15th century convent water-gardens, refectories, and storage bodegas. Parking is...More

Good local food selection. Choose the house wine, which is very good value for money. They will give you small starters while you wait.
