We decided to go to Bill Smith's because it was a local favorite. When you arrive you seat yourself, the place was full on a Sunday morning around 11......we had to go to the back to find a place that was ok. Waitress was nice took our drink orders and brought us our menu. My husband and I chose the... More

Don't go for breakfast after about 9:00 a.m. The owner pulls the gravy out of the hot steam table and lets it cool. I had to call the health department and tell them about this practice.

Having lived in the area for 15 years the opportunity to visit again on a recent trip could not be missed. Breakfast was wonderful and was cooked exactly as requested. The biscuits were wonderful. For a lighter meal the fruit cup was delicious. We will be returning often before we leave the area

Forget about your chain resturants that happen to serve breakfast, Bill Smiths is like eating breakfast at your Gram ma's house. It's all good. No fancy put ons. The waitresses have been there for years and are attentive even it you are not their table. From egg dishes to biscuits and gravy, it's all fresh and homemade.I just can't get it that... More

The café doesn't look like much from outside, and the large parking lot is kind of scruffy. That's okay, because inside, the food is piping hot, tastes really good, and your coffee cup will never be empty. This is not "fine dining" or an upscale yuppie place with fancy blended coffees and special muffins, etc. It's a traditional Texas café,... More

This is honestly as close to a home cooked breakfast as you can get. (This only applies if your Mother was a good cook) The bacon was thick, the biscuits were homemade and the eggs were cooked perfectly. No wonder they are always packed. BTW the service was quick and friendly.

Great local places with breakfast and lunch, daily specials. easy location to get in and out and usually not much of a wait if they really are busy.

My brother-in-law has been telling us about this place for a long time and we finally got to go while visiting in McKinney after Thanksgiving. He told us it was the best breakfast we'd ever eat - and he was right! The atmosphere alone was worth the visit with it's many antique signs and decor. But the food and service... More
