This place was 'hyped up' in local Houston papers and magazines. We were really disappointed when we got there. Had to go back into the smoke room to get your ribs, sausage and brisket. It was almost hard to breath there not to mention now...More

We went to a few other barbecue places in the area over two days and saved this one for last. This place is smaller and more of a dive than some of the other places which is charming and a plus. The smoke room feels...More

Working on the Texas Monthly BBQ top 50 list. Hit this one up and it’s ok. Arrived just before the lunch crowd. We tried all their meats but I wasn’t blown away at all. Nothing seemed to have a whole lot of flavor. The honey...More

We tried brisket, ribs and a sausage. All were excellent. Beans and potato salad were also worth trying. Friendly helpful staff. Recommend if in the area.

Hit the Bar-B-Que trail again, and without fail keep coming back to City Market. Great brisket, generous portions and just a great place to eat delicious bar-b-que

It’s worth the long line. Just perfect food. Everything from rib to pickles are perfect. Ask for the blackened end it’s the best. I’m not sure where they get their sweet pickles but .. go figure.. delish

Overall very good. The brisket was a little dry. The sausage delicious and ribs were juicy. It took us a minute to get oriented to the belly up to the food station to place your order. They don't make sandwiches but give you the meat...More

Yes, it was indicated on the price board on our last visit. I don't remember the exact price, but thought it looked like a good deal.

Hi AERJ, Unfortunately, I don't know if this place is gluten safe. I would suggest calling the restaurant directly to ask. Also, The meats are cut in front of the customer so you will witness if the BBQ touches any gluten... More
