We did not eat at the hibachi. Ate in the bar room. The floors were so dirty, the window treatments were filthy and the glass between the booths looked like kids had been climbing all over and left their finger prints everywhere. Be careful what...you order when it comes to drinks. We pointed to a menu picture of a drink and server came with a large round glass. It was full of ice and margarita and it was $48.00! Server admitted that the menu pics and prices were misleading. Food came out slowly and one at a time. We had no plates, chop sticks, sauce bowls. Had to wait until next food came out to get anything. Never got plates. So strange. Food was good and hot when it came out. Shocked at prices for very small quantity. Sushi shrimp tempura roll was $13.50 and had 5 thin pieces. Gyoza had six tiny cute pieces. We had a small margarita (sent the big one back) fried rice, tempura shrimp, gyoza, tempura shrimp roll and our bill was $60. We’ll stick to the mom and pop places. Paying for the name here.More

Three tables occupied, no one waiting, we had a reservation 6 in the middle of the afternoon, and we STILL had to wait. Server was not attentive, food service disorganized, getting the tab at the end to pay was also disorganized. We tried this place...one year ago and had a very similar experience then but thought we’d give them another chance. Not going back. $290.00 for lunch for 6 people is ridiculous. Especially when the service is subpar.More

Dinner and a show, it's advisable to get reservations, especially on the weekend. The service was excellent, we do advise the upgrade you upgrade the rice to chicken fried rice.

With wife on long holiday. Seated at cooking table with other families. after taking our drink/ appetizer orders, preceded to take dinner orders. I had the ROCKY'S CHOICE Hibachi steak* and chicken breast grilled with vegetables, rice, onion soup, and sorbet for dessert. Wife had...the samurai treat, filet mignon and colossal shrimp grilled to perfection with lemon with accompanying side items. the cooking show was not as dramatic as years past, but was fun and entertaining.More

I will start this by saying, my father went to culinary school and has managed plenty of kitchens in his past, my mother whom is one of the best first chefs you can employ, and one of my uncles whom is a franchisee with his...own restaurant- if any of these people I just mentioned would had gone with me and my family today to eat the whole establishment would had been cussed out. First of all we had a 3:15 reservation today- we walked in at 3:05 and checked in- 5 mins AFTER us another couple with kids came in for a reservation for the same time, please advise as to why they were seated first? Second, another customer comes in with a 4:15 reservation around 3:30 asking to be seated earlier because she has had a day..... I have 3 hungry children, I need to understand why my children needed to wait an extra 30 mins to be seated while this customer took our spot and was seated first. Which my fiance was still nice enough to leave a tip- after the service we received I would had not left a tip AT ALL. We get chef who made a complete mess of the table and a waiter whom apparently was too busy to make sure our drinks were filled and forgot that one of my children wanted steamed rice instead of fried, which she didnt get until the end of her meal because I asked. Even us being seated first did not get our chef until the party that were seated after in the same space. I have eaten/visited plenty of high end establishments in my past and this was so far the worst service I have ever had. And the fact that my kids felt the neglect was unacceptable. We went there today expecting to show out children other places were they could enjoy a good meal, I would had prefer to keep going to the hibachi place/s we go to closer to home.More

Well there was No experience! We have been to this location many times for birthday dinners for my sons. This place has tanked! No customer service at check in- made reservations for 5:30 and chef appeared at table at 6:40. (We had the whole table...as a party of 8- so we weren’t waiting on anyone) Juan banged his knife around and that was it! No talking- No tricks and he even made the food out of order. Several at table ordered the Steak and shrimp and he cooked that shrimp with the shrimp app- so it was way ahead of being served with the other meal. Bad! Steak was extremely average. Sooo for meal close to $400... we could have gone someplace Nice (since there was NO show or entertaining!) I would definitely recommend going someplace else!More

For me Benihana is for kids. They enjoy the show the cook puts on. They are entertaining, but the food is average at best. I can get much better Asian food from a place like The Great Wall for only $8.50. Benihana is going to...run you $40 a head. Way too expensive for what you get.More

Chef didn’t put on a show like they used to, I don’t know if they stopped doing it but that was the fun part of the meal. Food was good if you like to eat one thing at a time. Got the bum’s rush at...the end. ... I still had my fork in my hand and others were also still eating when she brought out to to go boxes. The bar is small, it’s really only a waiting area. The restroom was dirty. Can’t say I’d return ... over priced.More

It has been years since I have eaten at a Benihana's as the one in Austin has closed down years ago. I needed to go to Irving for business and saw that this location was very near the hotel I booked. Not dissapointing at all....Chef was engaging and good sense of humor, hostess was pleasant enough. I did the chicken and steak 5 course meal (little expensive for me, as I am usually a buget shopper) and it was just as good as I remembered. I did have 1 Adult Beverage, a Long Island Iced Tea, a little too sweet for my taste.... but I finished it. LOL. Communal Dining is OK, when you can get the others to talk to you, but there was 1 person who I chatted with. Soup and Rice are awesome (FYI, a lot of rice) and the chicken was moist and steak (medium rare) was done to perfection. I enjoy the ginger dipping sauce. Treat yourself, it will not let you down.More

This was not my first time dining at a Benihana. It was my first at the Las Colinas location. It will be my last. To start, easy to find parking is non-existent during dinner hours. The parking lot is very small, and does not offer...valet service. I sat with three other vehicles for about fifteen minutes as we all waited for diners leaving so we could park. I ordered filet and lobster, with fried rice. The dinner came with the shrimp appetizer, soup, and salad. The shrimp appetizer appeared to be three small shrimp chopped up as it was cooked. I have never had shrimp so small at any other Benihana. The soup was warm, but not hot. The salad was good, I like the dressing. The steak and lobster was average in flavor. A bust for the price. I enjoy Benihana, but will stick with driving to the one in Dallas.More

This place was filthy, like the staff couldn't keep up with the large amounts of people packed in here like cattle. Stuff on the floor, sticky menus, spilled liquids on the bar, etc. Men's room: two urinals and one (1) toilet for the entire restaurant?...Unacceptable. Every time I used the restroom, there was 2-3 guys standing in line to use the one toilet. YUCK. We had 9 large people at the habachi table, I did not even have room to get up to the table. I notice that all of the tables work hat in a similar manner, Despite the fact that there were a couple of tables where no one will seated at all. I cannot really say that I appreciated being packed in like cattle, forced to rub elbows with my neighbors. Again....yuck. There was NO parking, and we had to park at the hotel next door. Fortunately our vehicle was not towed. That being said, the drinks and the food were very good. I cannot say we would return however due to the extremely poor atmosphere. My wife and I both thought this was going to be up still buying and before we arrived, And in all honesty, this is more like going to Six Flags.More

Restaurant was fine in general but lacked the ambiance i typically desire. The waitress came back 15 minutes after i ordered a beer and was told they were out of Stella and St Pauli. This was unique but what is sad is that she still...brought me a Budweiser in another 10 minutes and by that time my meal was completed. The chef looked amateurish and beaten with not the typical “comic” approach i am accustomed to. Also, they usually serve the mushroom and zucchini with your beef and chicken, here the chef served those early on and the beef and chicken afterwords and by themselves which wasn’t appropriate in my opinion. He was a nice guy overall but he looked tired and unenthusiastic. The other waiters appeared the same. There is an overall lack of enthusiasm you can sense. I eat regularly at the Benihana at Legacy and the feeling/ambiance quite different there. Not a good experience considering a 300 dollar bill we paid😫More
