The new upgrade in this restaurant added a much better look and the quality of food is much better.
They have expanded the space after acquiring the location next door, I believe the management may have changed to a better one that created a new nice atmosphere and the menu has more items and the quality of food is very good.
I still think it is a bit expensive for an Indian fast food restaurant compare to other Indian fast food restaurants.

I ordered through Grubhub to my hotel room. Delivery was Fast. I got a free delivery code on email and that worked fine.
Corn Manchurian was really good. Karappodi Idly was just 2 pices with some Masala on it and it was not fried that I was expecting, but it was fresh and with 2 type of Chatnies. Pastry was fresh and Indian style.

Very less choice or lesser menu to choose from. Expensive if compared to quality & quantity. Puri bhaji costs $6.99 which is expensive for just 2 pooris and potato watery bhaji.

One Cashier, you order food, food is ready, one cashier, Line is 40 minutes long. Food becomes cold. best thng you do.. ask the cashier to eat it and walk away.
that makes everyone happy.
these fake lines, fake need for a demand is a product of years of Indian Culture's especially Andhra's Sadistic tendencies. Andhra people love torturing others, especially if they are in a rush. they love it. Indians what can you expect.
i am sure the cashier is on OPT or CPT or is doing off campus. maybe a government check will set these guys straight.

I ordered their spl boneless chicken biryani. This was late at night. I stayed up late that night, mostly in the bathroom.
Two days later I am still reeling.
Just to ensure I am being fair, I had not eaten anything else since breakfast at 7 am.
In general, I have a favorable impression of hotbreads.

Continuing on the Indian journey in Dallas. There are seriously so many Indian joints here. Our friend took us here for some snacks, we ordered the Egg Puffs, Chicken Puffs, Mysore Bajji, Mango shake and Indian tea. It was packed, good thing there's two seating areas. Ordering was a bit hard due to the crowd and the guy taking the order was a bit lost and kept forgetting what we got, had to keep reminding him so we could actually get our food. Anyway, it tasted good and was filling - the Egg and Chicken puffs, the Mysore bajjis weren't that great - just not what I was expecting. The chilli sauce on the table they provide is nice too - it's apparently similar to what you get in the short eat places in India. The mango shake was yum and I was told the tea was good, didn't try it.

I have always liked the Hot Bread bakeries - one can never go wrong here. They specialize in their 'egg-less' moist and juicy and not-too-sweet cakes/pastries in a variety of flavors but they also have Indian snacks like pakodas, samosa and meals on the heavy side, Biryani, curries etc - along with lassis, teas and coffees. The taste for all their food - including pastries, teas, coffees - incline towards Indian side, so they are different than what one might experience at a regular American cafe.
My favorite is their chicken biryani that is prepared with high quality basmati rice with a great texture and taste - not very greasy and the combination of spices and rice is just perfect! And guess what, the portion is huge, good for two meals. I am also a fan of their pastries, not extra rich on creme or sugar, just the perfect way!

Visited the Hot Breads location for the first time. The relatively small business is split into two sections. The main one, where you place the order, has a dining section. The second section is for dining only, had a large TV screen, with Bollywood video songs being shown.
The menu did include a number of South Indian and North Indian dishes, bot vegetarian and non-vegetarian. The food I ordered was an egg biriyani, which tasted very good. I sure will visit again.

Hot Breads is a place where you can stop for a quick bite or get full service food. They have nice bakery items (Cakes, pastries, puffs etc). The food is delicious and is reasonably priced. They have a huge hall, just next to the main sitting area, to accommodate additional guests. The place can really get crowded, specially during the weekends. Try their Chicken Dum Biryani

The in and out traffic attracted me to Hot Breads. The traffic of the local Indian population is one indicator of the desirability of the food offerings. Nice stop on a Sunday if visiting for work due to the excess of business hotels in the immediate Irving area.

Located aptly on MacArthur, I accidentally came across this joint. HB (Hot Breads) initially started as bakery and confectionery outlet has now transformed itself in full fledged Indian cuisine restaurant. I have been to hundreds of Indian restaurants in many countries outside India, this one tops in taste and authenticity. The reason being owners focusing more on Indian diaspora rather than locals. Also, their relentless efforts to keep up with taste, portion, aesthetic value and prompt preparation lands them at the top! I was truly mesmerized by the menu as it covers North Indian, South Indian, Andhra, and Gujarati dishes well spaced in terms of offering.
At first glance, you might be put off by the interior and ambiance. Once you order, you tend to focus more on positives. If you are not Indian or Pakistani, you might struggle to come to senses keeping in mind the assault of Indian curry smell...wow to some however!
Dishes not be missed are Indian Masala tea, onion bhajji (bhajiya), chicken spinach, biryani (both veg and non-veg) and desserts offered day to day as specialty. They also come up with different newer dishes every day you would see on a notice board just below the menu sign boards at the counter.
They also have a hall adjacent where you can make love or war with your food while enjoying bollywood songs on a large TV projector.
And oh my oh! prices!! They keep it so well balanced you are tempted to order for more and more. Every dish comes with a Nan / Roti or Rice. I will get into stake holding of HB any day they might want for I wish this food chain can be taken all across US and UK with more and more outlets.
Not to forget the friendly and all-smiling staff here. The guy at the till is really adroable and theres one girl who would not mind coming in search of you to serve the order, although you are supposed to self help here when they call your token number. Courtesy wins my heart!
Pros : Taste, Location, Variety, Consistency, Courtsey, Prices etc etc
Cons: Bad interior, rough and clueless crowd, Messy smoking zone outside.

Good biriyani. I thought I could not finish. But later because of the taste. If you want to have biriyani there, go on empty stomach.
