Truly one of Houston's very best restaurants. Spanish food at its best. Let your server assist you in your dining choices, as each server is well-versed with the menu items, as well as what wine pairs with each dish. If you don't try anything else,...try the suckling Iberico pig--it is spectacular! But many other dishes are, as well.More

BCN is our go to restaurant for special occasions. Tonight we went for my husbands Birthday. Once again our experience reminded us why we keep coming back. To us, it's not only the delicious food and drinks, but also the service and the experience. The...food is always amazing. Delicious and prepared to perfection. The service is above the bar which makes the experience even better. You are made to feel like family. Our server Juan always goes out of his way to make sure we not only have everything we need, but also makes sure everything exceeds our expectations. You are made to feel like royality when you dine at BCN. It is worth the trip all the way from the Clear Lake area. If you haven't experienced BCN, you need to. Ask for Juan and I know you'll have a fantastic experience.More

BCN is a lovely venue with understated elegance. The service is pleasant, although a bit more intrusive than necessary. The wine selections (by the glass) were excellent, as was most of the food. The calamari appetizer and the suckling pig were especially notable. The downgrade...on the experience was the cod, which in retrospect I should have sent back. The fish was chewy and overcooked and tasted only of salt. It really was not very good and there is kinda no reason for that at this price point. That was unfortunate because the rest of the meal was outstanding.More

This place was pretty good. I ordered the Shell Pasta with Roasted Tomatoes as my appetizer and it was delicious. I loved how the taste just melted and the soft texture. For my entry I ordered the Slow-Cooked Prime Beef Cheeks. I was a little...disappointed as the taste was very bland and did not really impress me as much. I would definitely come again but would order something different. Service was great and the price was reasonable.More

We celebrated my birthday here. It’s been quite a while since we have chanced a nice restaurant thanks to Covid. We wanted something special and unusual and this did not disappoint. We opted to go on a Monday early to avoid crowds. All of the...staff was amazing and catered to us, making us feel special. The meal was excellent from the pulpo to the cuttlefish ink pasta to the dessert. Plus the Viura wine recommended was perfect for our meal. I overheard a young birthday women near us exclaim that she was so glad they had come. Me, too!More

The entire evening was amazing! We were in town celebrating my wife’s birthday and Mario ensured everything was great! From the appetizers I strongly recommend the pulpo a la gallega and from the main dishes either the cochinillo or the rabbit! Will definitely come back...to BCN next time we visit Houston!More

We don’t have any Barcelona-style restaurants in San Francisco, so BCN Taste & Tradition was at the top of our dining list for Houston. It lived up to our high expectations. We both had the bacalao (salt cured Spanish cod) for our mains, mainly because...we’d never had it before. It was delicious The restaurant is in a Spanish-style house in Montrose, a residential neighborhood. The attractive interior is filled with major works of Spanish art and a buzz of excitement. It’s a dressy restaurant; most of the diners looked spiffy.More

I really enjoyed this beautiful little restaurant, I love how it’s tucked away but when you walk in it has this wonderful ambiance. The food was amazing, I love the Vegan menu options (for my husband) and the staff were really attentive.

Tough to get a reservation so with 1 week lead time had to eat at 5pm for a table in the dining room...which was fine by us. Alternatively, there is a very nice outdoor patio; could also eat at the bar which didn't look very...comfortable. Very nice ambience and service was excellent; good date/romantic place; noise level - quiet. Food was very good but a bit "fussy"; any time I see "foam" as part of description of dishes my eyes roll - pretty but adds nothing in my opinion. They tout their extensive selection of gins. We had gin & tonics which were good but not extraordinary. Wine by the glass was good and a generous pour - red wine temperature was perfect. Despite the excellent service, when we made reservation on line we were asked if it was a special occasion - we answered yes - a birthday. When we checked in, we confirmed with hostess that we had a birthday guest. When our waiter told us that the next day was 8th anniversary of their opening we said it was also my wife's birthday. The birthday "status" made no difference - a couple of tables near ours seemed to get some special dessert with a little candle.......not us. Why did they bother to ask? We didn't let this minor annoyance spoil an otherwise lovely dining experience.More

Good food but I was a little disappointed. We had octopus and potato as appetizers. Both were good and the potatoes were covered for aioli. For main dishes we had Menorca lobster, a vegetarian medley and salmon. No one complained but none of us raved...either. We have eaten in many restaurants in Spain that were better and certainly cheaper. The staff is very attentive. The gin and tonics were judged as excellent with very nice presentation.More

Everything in this place is amazing. Since the service to the main dishes and cocktails. It was full when we went there even during the week, so you need to do a reservation. It is an expensive place but it deserves it. All the ingredients...and dishes are completely from Spain. Really good option if you are visiting Houston.More

We had a family dinner for 5 and once again we were not disappointed. Food/Service/Quality we exemplary. We spent 3 hours+, starting with a tapas run of 10+ appetizers and salads then after a short conversation period we moved on to the main courses and...desserts. We had the Gramona Gran Reserva for all meals and highly recommend it. It was a great choice moving through all the courses. I cannot fault any of the dishes except we ordered way too much food but it was our first outing in a long while as a family and decided the night would be our early Mardi Gras...Thank you Jerry for a marvelous evening and a BRAVA for Crystal and her exceptional attention/service she provided us. Lastly, if the Razor Clams are available, we HIGHLY recommend them!More

Off the hook outstanding! The entire staff was engaged, attentive, and accommodating; the food and drinks were all superb! This was our first visit to BCN, our server was Jesus who made selections for us at our request. His description of menu options was intoxicating,...his choices hit the mark at every turn. Jerry, one of the managers overseeing all of the moving parts, went out of his way to welcome us and make us feel at home including a personal tour of the facility and the beautiful pieces of art that adorn the property. This dining experience was one of the finest my wife and I have had in our 60+ years on this planet!More
