The place is very cool, staff are friendly and the food amazing. We have ordered fajitas with flour tortilla, just delicious. I strongly recommend this restaurant.

No competition really. Just one of the best food experiences in all of Houston. If you even enjoy spice the Tex Mex experience you will not be disappointed. Had beef filet and baby back combo fajitas with Durango sauce - OUTSTANDING!
I have had a lot of Mexican food in my life... A LOT. El Tiempo had the best flavor of any Mexican fare I have had. The charro beans had seasoning instead of just being bland. The rice was unique and flavorful. I had crab enchiladas which were amazing. It's no wonder they are always packed and even have a... More
I took a friend from out of town to talk and eat. Food was tasty, typical tex-mex. Was rather noisy so hard to talk. Parking is awful. Hard to get into and must use valet parking or find local parking lot. Would eat again, but with reservation.
Pretty average Read all the hype and reviews Hype not much texture Carnitas were over cooked greasy and cold Tamale over sauced and served room temp Chips are chips Salsa no special flavor or texture Fajitas like any other tex mex spot nothing to distinguish this spot Valet park adds to bill
A great experience - as usual. After spending two weeks in Europe we needed a Tex Mex fix badly. El Tiempo did not disappoint us. Their Margaritas and enchiladas were great and we truly felt we were back home
El Tiempo is one of the best Mexican restaurants in Houston. You need to definitely try any of the seafood dishes. Everything is made fresh and delicious. I would recommend the fajitas and also the crab nachos. The crab nachos are excellent. You can barely even see the chip - all you see the the mounds of jumbo lump crab... More
Dined in/out two Sunday afternoons in September. Chicken enchiladas were wonderful - big chunks of mostly juicy breast meat and a delicious green sauce. Beef fajitas were the best I've ever had from this place, juicy and tender. Bar service attentive and friendly.
The restaurant is very dark, which if you are looking for atmosphere is great, but if you have bad eyesight, you might not enjoy it as the menu will be hard to read and the food hard to see. We ordered the dos and the quatro plates which had huge servings and were delicious. I tasted our friends beef fajitas... More
This was much better than Pappasitos. The menu was huge, but I still went with beef enchiladas. YUM! Queso is also yummy. Bring your appetite. I went on a business lunch and everyone had different choices that all looked amazing. The beef fajita I was told was filet mignon. Only thing about it being a business lunch is I didn't... More
