When a restaurant has been around for a very long time but still makes it to the “Top 10 Best” lists, it’s fair to wonder if that may be based a bit on nostalgia. That is NOT the case with Tony’s -- it maintains its stellar reputation for a very good reason: it is still stellar! The room is vibrant,... More

Tony's has served Houston for more than 50 years and has remained consistently among the top 10 restaurants in town. The restaurant is tastefully and elegantly furnished; the tables are separated from each other to provide diners with privacy. Service is polite, polished, effective and efficient, without being in your face. The food is consistently excellent Italian food with many... More

I came here with my wife for a special occasion. Upon walking in, the smells in the restaurant were wonderful. We started with a glass of wine and a cocktail, and then proceeded to our appetizers and entrees, followed by desserts. We very much enjoyed our soufle dessert, but the appetizers and entrees were fine, but not memorable. After the... More

Tony's never disappoints. Service is impeccable-and the food is simply the best all around. I loved the Salmon salad and my dessert was an engineering marvel. All this does come at a price so be prepared to pay for it all. Great place for an important business lunch or a special or romantic occasion. Valet parking is offered; proper attire... More

There is some preface to my story- first I noted that this restaurant was listed for the Houston Restaurant Weeks which proceeds go to the area food bank and then being highly recommended by our hotel my husband and I decided this was the place we should go. I cringed when I saw the "Appropriate attire required" sign because our... More

What is it with $$$$ restaurants on Trip Advisor? This is absolutely one of the top 5 restaurants in Houston. Everybody knows it. We stumbled in there for a glass of wine and stayed for dinner. They were most gracious and never snooty. The food is reminiscent of the Four Seasons. Dover Sole, etc. They had a shaved black truffle... More

So running an Italian, fine-dining venue with 11 courses on the tasting menu and additional 20+ courses on the a'la carté menu makes me wonder if your'e a masochist or somewhat crazy. However, being European (and we love those tasting menus) we're so suprised that the majority of the guests order a classic 3 course meal. The reason is simple,... More

Tony's Rstaurant has been a favorite of mine for years. Went to a dinner in the wine room last week and found it to be dated, dirty and dark. There was so much dust on the wine shelves I was appalled. The food was not up to par nor was the service. The flowers were exquisite. Very disappointed!
