Wild boar, venison, Chilean bass and lots of very interesting dishes. Great service--lots of fun with menu on a chalkboard. Come and try some new flavors that they allow you to mix.

After a conference, I walked out to find a new place to eat. Found this place, seated immediately. No menus, items on blackboard, or they tell you. Had a salad with blackened shrimp. Really good. Great conversation with Greg also. Would recommend and return.

Other than closing too early (9pm on a Thursday night) Irma's was great! Got there late (8:20ish), but was welcomed in, seated at the bar and treated like a friend of the family. Blended Margarita with Tequila poured over the top... Nice! Chips and home made guacamole... Nice! I had a combo plate with Carne Asada Fajita, shrimp taco and... More

We visited as a large party with 5 teens and 7 adults and had a nice meal in a decent amount of time with decent service. There are two salsa served with the chips and if I had the recipe for the smoky spicy one I'd make the stuff by the gallon and eat it at every meal. The Queso... More

In Houston for Convention center events, and this was very close to convention center, Minute Maid Park, etc. Open for lunch and dinner M-F and only dinner on Saturdays. Ate dinner there Friday evening and it was not too busy, service great. The menu is written on a board up front but the staff explains it to you and there... More

There is no question the food was great, my fish tacos were as good as I've ever had. Our server was beyond terrible- I'm usually not picky about that, having been a server I understand it can be due to staffing or on the kitchen... but we were there for over half an hour before he took our order. Had... More

We were watching baseball at Minute Maid Park and just walked over to Irma's after the game. What an attentive waitstaff, with a quirky and fun decor! We had several waiters, it seems, all hurrying around serving tables with a smile and friendly attitude. We even had Irma help wait on our table. The guacamole and queso were both excellent!... Showed up on a particularly crowded night but managed to get seated quickly at the bar. In a nutshell, everything was great! It is a little quirky that there are no menus; we didn't know to study the blackboard on the way in so I took a picture of it for our group. The chips were fresh and the dark... More

I assume this place does more business for lunch, as it wasn't full on a Friday night, but the food was delicious! Our waiter, Greg, was friendly and accommodating to help us split dishes among the three of us. We had the fish tacos, wild boar tacos, and pork tamales. All of them were very good. The guacamole is not... More
