Love the fresh homemade potato chips. Shepherds pie is actually cottage pie as it's made with beef. Well prepared and flavorful. Beans not s great. Fish n chips nice flavor with good batter but a little greasy. Friendly service. Fair prices.

My wife and I were in town for a high school reunion. The Black Labrador was our regular pre-Thanksgiving Day restaurant for years. We haven't been back in 12 years and it's still the same. It's the most authentic English pub in Texas. The Shepherds...More

The food is not the greatest here. Used to be a great place to get Shepherd's Pie. I would just recommend a beverage these days, and some potato chips. Pretty location however.

This place is always a favorite it I am in the area. Love the Shepherd Pie. Also enjoy other dishes bangers and mash. Or fish and chips. We have good service and the prices are reasonably priced. Enjoy!!!

They have all the classic favorites - shepherd's pie, bubble and squeak, fish and chips, bangers and mash, etc., and some good ales. I had the fish and chips, which was very good.

Great English pub atmosphere, good beer, great food. We met friends here after returning from a cruise and had a wonderful time.

Been coming here for over 20 years, consistent food, British pub... the best in Houston. Cozy, comfortable. Love mussels in the appetizer section, I get it for a meal with fries, it's awesome. Good beer selection and full bar.

Went today for casual lunch. Three adults in our party. The place was a ghost town. Should have been sign of things to come. On such a beautiful Houston Friday (weather wise) with great outdoor seating-this place was so empty. Our waitress was friendly and...More

This is the only place in Houston to get a decent Steak and Kidney pie and I would recommend it to anyone. Although there was a loud party there but it was Just before Christmas. It did not take a way from the food and...More

This is a nice simulation of an English pub, complete with low ceiling, wooden floors and furniture. It serves typical English pub food. It also has a function room for events. There is considerable additional parking behind so that it doesn't matter that the parking...More
