I came here on a date night. The place is beautiful and elegant - the perfect spot for a romantic dinner or special occasion. I ordered a cajun fish dish that was perfection. Bananas Foster table side for dessert is a must - it's amazingly delicious! Excellent wine list. It's a bit cold in the dinning rooms, so bring a... More

Watch out for sharp objects in our food! I waited to write this review since because I gave the restaurant the opportunity to respond after I wrote them a private email. They never responded. My husband and I were visiting our son in Houston and decided to eat at Brennan's. There were 4 of us and 3 decided to have... More

Old school restaurant in mid-town. When one walks in, you get a sense of a cool, old school, quite formal, established restaurant in Houston. Decor is traditional but at the same time ultra cool. There are different rooms in the restaurant - each with their own flare and ambience. We were with a group of 7 and had opulent seating... More

I really enjoyed my dinner at Brennan's. I was a little skeptical, as some of the reviews made it sound a little touristy, but it wasn't at all. I ate in the bar, as I was traveling alone. The food was interesting and delicious, and the service was impeccable.

Not sure if they have something against solo diners, but I had a very slow service - much slower than the surrounding tables. I had to ask for water and bread and it took a long time to get my entree. The air conditioning was so cold it was uncomfortable and I had to ask several times for something warm... More

You get a slice of New Orleans food and service, always welcoming and special. The seafood dishes and even the salads are excellent.

Brennan's is my number one favorite restaurant in a town with a lot of restaurants. The food is New Orleans style, well seasoned, beautifully presented, excellent service. But what makes this place really special to me is that they make me feel like I am family. From the giant smile and even hug from the receptionist, to the wonderful waiters,... More

We visited Brennan's of Houston today to celebrate my daughter's birthday. We have dined there many times before, but always for lunch or dinner. This time was for brunch. What a delight! I was blown away not just by the quality of the food (which I expected,) but also by the variety of choices and the reasonable prices. Before we... More

Brennan's is my absolute favorite restaurant in the greater Houston area. My husband and I have enjoyed many lunches, dinners and Sunday jazz brunches through the years.

Description
Since our 1967 opening as a sister restaurant to the world-famous Commander's Palace in New Orleans, Brennan's of Houston has evolved into the city's premier destination for memorable dining served with true Southern hospitality. From the reservationist to the waiters, chefs and every associate behind the scenes, our team is focused on the highest standard of excellence and equally dedicated to creating enduring memories of snapshots in time: the sealing of business deals, wedding proposals, joyful celebrations, and the marking of significant milestones along life's way. And the proof is in the (bread) pudding, with loyal patrons returning time and again to create new memories.Reflecting the same warmth as our friendly greeting, each farewell concludes with Brennan's signature lagniappe: an abundance of unforgettably fresh pecan pralines.
