Don’t know if this is where Houston’s beautiful people go, but everyone looks beautiful here. This is definitely the celebratory place for the dressy brunch crowd. The surroundings alone will class you up, whether you sit in the flatteringly lit main dining room or out on the serenely shady patio. I went looking for Sunday oysters and bubbles and intentionally... More

I really enjoyed having lunch at this restaurant. They serve food from New Orleans with a Houston twist. The dining room is beautiful and old fashioned. You feel you are visiting a nice and elegant Southern restaurant from another era. We tried many New Orleans specialties, and loved them all! We tried a trio of soups, that included gumbo, turtle... We went here with a larger group for dinner and had our own room upstairs. The decor was beautiful and the service excellent. We had pre-selected wine and dining options which were great. I wish we would have eaten downstairs where it looked like it was more fun!

A group of friends come annually to celebrate a special friend's birthday. Some of us took advantage of the lunch menu. Several of us had different soups which were very salty. I had the Cobb salad and frankly, it was nothing special. We all shared a some desserts. The bread pudding is usually exceptional, but this year it was over... More

In search of a New Year's Eve dinner we headed to Brennan's without too much expectation since it was a holiday event in a 'big name' restaurant. Surprise....surprise...surprise! The service was outstanding and the food ( albeit a limited menu) was excellent. We'd love to visit when next in Houston!!

Wow, great service, great food, great luncheon. The catering staff was awesome and easy to deal with. We had three entrees to choose and all were excellent. Highly recommend.

Swanky and upscale. I am a very plain eater and not much into exotic dishes. I was able to find something I would enjoy and it was very good. Nice place to go.

Saved Brennan's for our last Houston meal. Everything was absolutely delightful. Hostess greeted us like old customers, accommodated our table request and in general made us feel at home. Restaurant was quite lively on a Sunday night, however, service was excellent. Crab cakes were the best I have ever had, and now that I'm back home, I'm dreaming of them...... More

My wife and I traveled to Houston for a wedding, arriving early on Friday the 31st so we could experience Brennan's - celebrating our 24th anniversary. The restaurant is beautiful, well appointed, quiet and really just first class - a refreshing break from the loud, hard-surfaced environment that we often find in many popular, higher end restaurants these days. Many... More

We went to Brennan's to celebrate our anniversary this year. I had eaten at the restaurant years ago and had wonderful memories and our recent experience definitely lived up to my expectations. The atmosphere, food and service were all exceptional! Although the Jumbo Lump Crabcake was one of the best I have ever eaten, the Creamy Cauliflower and Brie soup... More

Description
Since our 1967 opening as a sister restaurant to the world-famous Commander's Palace in New Orleans, Brennan's of Houston has evolved into the city's premier destination for memorable dining served with true Southern hospitality. From the reservationist to the waiters, chefs and every associate behind the scenes, our team is focused on the highest standard of excellence and equally dedicated to creating enduring memories of snapshots in time: the sealing of business deals, wedding proposals, joyful celebrations, and the marking of significant milestones along life's way. And the proof is in the (bread) pudding, with loyal patrons returning time and again to create new memories.Reflecting the same warmth as our friendly greeting, each farewell concludes with Brennan's signature lagniappe: an abundance of unforgettably fresh pecan pralines.
