We were in town for a few days and we decided to stop here for lunch. So glad we did! We made it around noon and we were able to get a seat immediately. There’s plenty of parking and it was $10 to park. There’s...covered outdoor sitting as well as indoor seating. The inside was full so we sat outside. Angel was our server and she did an awesome job. There was a nice size fan blowing on the covered patio to keep us cool. There was some nice music playing the background as well. There are also some hookah options for those that are into that. Plenty of options for mixed drinks as well. I had the regular turkey leg with BBQ sauce with a side of red beans and rice. I must say that the food lived up to my expectations. No let down on the food. I couldn’t eat it all in 1 setting so I had plenty to take back home. My wife had the fried fish which said was really good. Overall, we enjoyed this place and we are glad that we made the visit. Good customer service and good staff. I advise you to try to get there early. So I hadn’t eaten in 20 hrs and we hit the bar 5015 across from Turkey leg hut. Anyway, afterwards my brother wanted to try their fish and he had already been before and said his Turkey leg was over seasoned and high priced but...I just haaad to try it for myself. Long story short. He was right. I had the lemon pepper leg.. waaay to much seasoning I had a headache the next day. Just realizing it was probably my blood pressure..dang..bye Bye $19.00.. then the juice in the pan was leaking all over the place. Lol. Btw my brother’s fish had that black slime ish in it and his fries had the fill of too many fries in the basket being cooked at the same time. They was all chewy. 😂To me its overrated. THE FOOD The food was amazing, but the prices reflected on the menu did not match what we actually paid. It was definitely super expensive, but worth the experience. I had the cajun crawfish mac n' cheese stuffed turkey leg, the cowboy beans, and the...jerk chicken tacos (I got them to-go). My friend had the Hennesy Glazed Turkey Leg (super tender and moist) and my fiance had two stuffed turkey legs (one was topped with alfredo sauce). He asked to have one of them packaged to-go. We were charged a to-go fee for each item that we got in the to-go container. The only reason I got my Jerk chicken tacos to go is because they took an extremely long time to come out and I was already full by the time our waiter brought them. THE SERVICE Our waiter was awesome! He knew a lot about the menu, offered recommendations, and let us taste a few items. I told him that I had never tasted crawfish, so he went and got a sample of the crawfish mac n' cheese for me. He also made sure to ask & take note of individuals who had food allergies. They had some other guys come to the table to see if we wanted to order a hookah, which we did. The hostess was nice and accommodating. I would give the staff a 10 out of 10. THE VENUE I didn't go on the inside of the restaurant, but the outside seating area was huge. They had plenty of tables all covered so we didn't have to worry about the sun. The wooden stools looked pretty worn and were uncomfortable to sit on. These should definitely be upgraded soon. There were fans blowing on us and they had chilled bottled water and tents to shade anyone who had to stand in the lines. And security officers were stationed near the main entrance. We found parking on a side street but was told that the TLH parking lot fee was $20. THE RESERVATION PROCESS There was surprisingly no line or wait at all for a table on the day that we went, which was a Friday night. I wish I had known this, because I made a reservation months in advance to ensure that we didn't have to wait in line. The reservation process is strange and very stressful. You have to pay a non-refundable $200 to hold the reservation via cash app. And they will send you an email to let you know to send the payment by 5:00 pm. You don't know when to expect the email so you just have to keep watching it because if you get it Friday morning, then you have to pay by 5:00 pm on that same day or your request would be booted out of the system. I don't check my email multiple times a day so I kept missing the email and had to go back and fill out a new request a few times. After you catch the email and submit your deposit, KEEP WATCHING YOUR EMAIL. They went two more. One email asked for more details about myself and the party of 8 that would be attending. The third email was a contract that YOU MUST SIGN or your reservation will be cancelled with no refund on the deposit.More

Traveling from Florida to Texas on a business trip. We were given the recommendation of The Turkey Leg Hut. The parking sucks. We paid $20 for valet parking without having valet parking. The music and atmosphere is a vibe but once you get inside the...building needs remodeling asap. We had a reservation at 10pm. Online we stated an inside table. In person we were asked if we wanted to seat inside or outside. We stated inside. The server responded well you are going to have to wait. My friend asked why, we have a reservation. She said because you just have to wait. Mind you before all this my friend already loss a $25 reservation fee because she scheduled and wanted to add a person to the table but was denied. So she had to reschedule again. Management would not assist with the matter at all. This honestly should have been our warning but we decided to go on with the new reservation. Now we are seated. We were given two cups of water. I think it’s commonly given to everyone. I asked for lemon. The waiters a says. We ain’t got no lemonade. I asked well do you have any fruit to put in the water. Waitress replies we ain’t got no fruit at all. I took a deep breath and asked for the strawberry lemonade. Refills are a joke. You have to pay $1 for every refill per cup. We would have left but we were already $75 in with the reservation fees and $25 of it the restaurant took. Okay so now we place our order. We did asked for help especially since it’s our first time eating there. We took one recommendation which was the TLH bowl. We also ordered two regular turkey legs with several flavors on the side, which they charge for every flavor on the side. We ordered the swamp fries, boudin balls, crawfish Mac and cheese, 3 of their desserts. The swamp fries were delicious. I would like to have them before I return back to Florida but my review of the rest of the food. The boudin balls were nasty. The rice was over cooked to mush very salty and spicy. We told the waitress that the item needs to be taken off the menu. The turkey legs were tender and moist but the flavor of the legs were not up to par. The crawfish Mac and cheese tasted like it came out of the box and not homemade. My friend said the TLH bowl was okay. The 3 desserts hmmm were ok. However we didn’t eat the food in total. We tasted everything. All our food was left at the table. We were asked if we would like to take it with us. We said no. They were looking shocked. We let them know their food is horrible and overhyped. I even wrote on the receipt to let the manager and owners know their food was horrible. We didn’t enjoy, and we left all the food on the table. Total over $200.00 down the drain. We will not return. I don’t know why this place has the ratings it do. In the end of everything, the waitress tried to steal my friend business card, I guess cause it stated platinum lol. We told her several times she did not return the card and several times she stated she did. When she see we’re not leaving, she eventually when and got the card. Yeah, the entire establishment are crooks. Oh valet is a joke, you park Your own car and you get your own car but your charged $20.00. Good system of highway robbery. Ridiculous and Extremely over rated, my turkey leg was packed in used foil, greasy, tough and salty the cream corn sweet as….. and not naturally sweetened, loaded with sugar. The wait outside to get in concept, the order you food and go wait in your...car until I call you concept hilarious, the can’t order and eat at the bar concept weird as…….listen people this place is a money Pitt, a Joke. It’s hookah lounge!! Its a joke and highly highly overrated. From the time you walk up you’re confronted with all the RULES by the 0 personality drill (joke of) sergeant, waitresses that pass you by as if you haven’t been standing there for 45 mins. Absolutely amazing food! Best turkey leg I've ever eaten for sure! Huge portions, cooked to perfection and fair prices. Don't be put off by the queue, it moves fast. We visited on an off chance on the search for food and it did not disappoint!

The vibe is great. I came to the restaurant because the first time I came to TX I had the crawfish Mac from the food truck….it was AMAZING so i knew the restaurant had to be better. I’m back in TX made my reservation. Well...I kinda expected more than what I got. The food was good. I think the Mac changed because this time it tastes more like velveeta…the dirty rice was AMAZING (the best thing that I ate). The drinks were okay the service was very good. On a trip to Texas we stopped at TLH off the suggestion of a friend. The atmosphere was lively! Hookah and nice patio seating is available outside. Great R&B music! Food excellent and unique! Drinks YES! The crawfish Mac and cheese was rich and creamy...and simply delightful. The turkey legs literally melt in your mouth! The portions are generous! The flavors delightful. The sides are good! I had a garlic and herb flavored turkey leg with dirty rice. Very good! I will definitely return!More

I was so excited to go to the Turkey Hut. The first thing I noticed was the vibe of the owners. It was so off and all the staff appeared to be afraid of them. Second my Turkey leg was over cooked and hard on...the outside and the 1st layer of the inside. The macaroni and cheese was good. Our server was nice. It took 30 minutes to get our drinks from the bar. We had a party of 15 so where they sat us was way back on the out side (it was cold). Then two muck rats ran under our table and across our feet.
