A great cantina will have a unique variation on a drink standard and UJ is just such a place with their specialty Margarita Swirl. Food is wonderful, too.

Everything was full of flavor. Great salsa and chips. Guacamole full of fresh flavor. Can be little noisy. Highly recommend for good Tex Mex fans!

We ordered the plata grande platter for our table. It came out smokin and smelling fabulous. The food was good and combination and quality a lot for 3 people. The shrimp and beef and chicken fajitas were excellent. The ribs were just ok - not tender and juicy like normal - not sure why as usually ribs are the best.... More

They were open on Christmas Eve. Large fancy place on the first floor in downtown Austin. Service was very good. We had fajitas for two. They were good. 90% of the vegetables were onions. I would have liked more bell peppers. Seasoning on the meat was mild. They have a tortilla machine. Tortillas were OK, but they did not bring... More

Wow - what used to be a fun outing spot has definitely gone down hill. Service is slow. Salmon is terribly dry. Bacon wrapped shrimp has become average. And with every opportunity to remedy the experience they drop the ball. Unfortunate. Thank goodness for competition.

Stopped in for the reverse margarita and appetizerz. Staff was very friendly. Drinks were good. Appetizers were perfect. Finished with the Chocolate Piñata. One of a kind dessert. A must.

I read the reviews, personally we sat in the bar at lunch and the service was very good. I enjoyed the atmosphere, the bar was nice. We had a combination of several items and we both enjoyed them. It's exactly as I expected it to be. Good, but not great - but my bill reflected exactly that.

Family gathering of about 30, including small children had a great time. Fajita platters with shrimp, chicken, steak and ribs were delicious along with the fresh tamales, but the chocolate piñata was amazing.

Uncle Julio's isn't a place I'll be running back to. The food was nothing special in fact, my beef tacos al carbon were so tuff I couldn't eat them. I was very disappointed the Grapevine location was no better than the Oak Lawn location. For lunch it was greatly overpriced. There are other places for much better mexican food in... More

Better places in Grapevine for Mexican - or Southlake - sorry - nobody smiles - and I hate that - have been several times and hostess looks really beat down - is that not your first perception to your business?? Not very friendly or welcoming...
