We go every Friday night for catfish, beans, hush puppies, Cole slaw and iced tea. A great combination.

This is the cafe at the auction yard- it is GREAT food... and plenty of it! Very reasonably priced- 2 adults and 2 teenage boys with appetizer was around 40 dollars- WITH leftovers to take home. Good service, good tea, and lots of locals.....

Cow Palace Restaurant in Gonzales Texas is what many small towns have so often. It's an establishment that has been consistently pumping out good food at good prices for many, many years. You go there not to be unexpectedly impressed; but just to be confidently satisfied. My first time anywhere I go, I normally order the Chicken Fried Steak. I... More

Good food and nice people! Great angus burger, patty melt and chicken quesadillas! Unique place and the meeting spot for locals. Reasonable prices added to the overall fun experience. Be prepared to blow your diet but worth it!

The Cow Palace was a frequent stop for my dad and I going back almost 40 years ago. I hadn't been there in about 15 years until passing through Gonzales this week. I was super hungry and decided to try it again. It didn't let me down. I had the chicken fried steak and baked potato. The chicken fried steak... More

On a recent weekend trip to the Gonzales area, I came across this restaurant online when searching for places to eat. The reviews were mixed but mostly positive, so we decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed! Additionally, we KNEW that we were in a good place to eat when 3 Law Enforcement Officers came in and... More
