I haven't been to Dozier's in a "100 years". When I was here last time, Mr. Dozier was the owner and he was renowned for winning numerous titles at the Houston livestock show over the years. Mr. Dozier passed quite a few years ago. Two brothers bought the business and haven't changed a thing. The BBQ is still Outstanding, some... More
I have been coming to Dozier's market of 45 years. I still think it has the best BBQ in Texas. The meat market has some of the best sausage around. Great employees and great food.
Had a family member suggest this place. Country market up front and meat market and bbq joint in the back. Had some great jerky and beef sticks. The bbq looked great but was a bit early to eat that much food.

The beans were straight out of a can, mac and cheese was bland, coleslaw was pale and watery. I never leave negative reviews. I just... More
Best chopped beef on the planet, and I've made the forty-minute drive from west Houston just for their potato salad. I'll do it again, too! Tables and counter service for their great barbecue.
It feels like time stood still years ago, tucked in a tiny grocery/meat processing place. It is not glamorous, nor is it pretty. But the service is quick and the bbq is authentic Texan and the specials are well priced. They have been around forever, a true institution of meat and barbecue experience. Please do grab a frozen goat milk... More
