We both had the "Creamy Chicken Arrabbiata", which was delicious. Their dinner bread is the best we had in town. The staff was attentive and friendly. The location of the restaurant was peaceful, great for a romantic dinner. We had their pound cake for dessert which seemed a couple of days old, very dry and partially hard, which is my... More

After eating at several other mediocre restaurants in Fredericksburg, this is the absolute best.. Wonderful menu, excellent service, great setting, plenty of parking and friendly and professional staff. An unusual restaurant where if the staffing is not adequate, they minimize the number of reservations...like the night we were there. Usually, however, this is not a problem. I had the pan... More

I went for Sunday brunch in a party of three. The Bloody Mary was delicious and a perfect start to brunch. The menu offered many enticing options and I chose the chicken salad. It was a generous portion. Service could have been a little more attentive, but the restaurant was quite busy. I'd like to return for dinner. Loved the... More

The staff was extremely friendly and professional. The cottages surrounding the restaurant are very beautiful and the entire setting is so wonderful. We had some wonderful coffee with our breakfast as we watched the "barn cats" wonder the back yard. I had the Hemingway, which came with a very generous and delicious portion of smoked salmon. My wife mixed the... More

My husband and I made reservations for brunch on Sunday before Labor Day. Even though they were busy, they got us seated early. The gift shop was closed on Sunday. They did have some herbs growing in the garden, but nothing spectacular. The inlet was ok. The hamburger that my husband ordered was good. The best thing was the Bloody... More

If you are looking for a nice setting off the beaten path then this is it. It is pricey but the servings were generous and the food delicious. The wait was a bit longer than wanted but surely not rushed:) They have a nice menu. The entire place is very clean and cozy. Nice gift shop as well and cottages... More

This place is as picturesque as it is delicious. The Farm Haus (or Herb Farm or whatever...the name was a bit confusing) is located in the middle of a cluster of the cutest little bungalow cottages complete with porches, rocking chairs, and a spa somehow beautifully nestled in the middle. The Farm Haus interior has several rooms one all stone,... More

The lunch was better than awesome. We had Chicken salad - tomato soup - peppercorn burger. Everything was delicious. The service was steady and reliable.

if you want a true taste of Fredericksburg this is a great place to eat! We came for dinner and I had pizza. It was good but not amazing. The cocktails were well made and it was very cozy inside. The unfortunate thing is that there was a table of at least 10 ladies right across from us celebrating a... More

Description
Eating in a garden environment, with fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs, is unique these days. What is even more unique is a talented young chef who prepares food with a passion. This fine restaurant is setting standards found only in a few of the larger cities. The historic rock house, built in the late 1890s provides the core of the restaurant.
