I was able to pay an extra $1.50 to get leaner cuts of meat in my pastrami Reuben. Great sandwich! The decor is sort of locals rustic, and cash or local checks only, but the food is awesome.

I have been here several times so I can say this is not an isolated case but they are just not very friendly there. Not the waitresses or the cashier. It's as if the customer is an inconvenience. If the food was really great then I would overlook the not so cheerful disposition but since it is just so-so I... More

Not fancy looking but good food and service. Service was quick and friendly. I had a Ruben and a bowl of Spilt Pea soup. Sandwich was great, lots of meat with the right amount of sauerkraut. Split Pea soup could have used a bit more spice for my liking but was okay. I had the strawberry delight for dessert which... More

It's not fancy but it's great! Everything is fresh and top quality. Had soup and sandwich on my last visit and they were flavorful and affordable. Nice size portions without being excessive. Definitely filling. If you're near the TCU/zoo area, stop by. You won't be disappointed. Personally, I suggest the Rachel. Their Reuben's are awesome too!

Moved to Fort Worth six years ago and had heard many times about Carshon's but had not been there until today. People really praise the reuben, so that I what I had to have. Very generous with the corned beef and very tasty. Judy had the half egg salad sandwich, which she liked a lot, and she said it could... More

Texas Monthly has reviewed Carshon's many times. Now i know why. I ordered the Rachel, a very delicious sandwich - and large. My son had the Reuben - also delicious. The building is quant with a reasonable number of tables. Also quite, which i like. Carshon's is all deli. I understand that the desserts are excellent, which I will try... More

Exactly like going into a New York deli. ALL of the dishes the 4 of us ordered were fantastic. I bought one pound of pickled tongue and two large whitefish to take home. I WILL return.

Carson's is one of the oldest Deli's and the place is really an institution. For as long as I have lived in Fort Worth, I had never been there. It looks, feels and smells like a real joint, the kind that you feel the history as you sit there. If you love corned beef, there are plenty of selections for... More

Enter into a shrine of Fort Worth traditions. Along with Paris and the Vickery Street and Montgomery Street Cafés and Joe T's Mexican, this is great food at a bargain price. Most of the patrons will be wearing Cowboy hats, and there will hardly ever be a first timer in any of these iconic locations. Hours are limited and the... More
