Had a family outing to Fort Worth, had a choice of Risky's or Angelo's. Glad we chose the latter. Meat fell off the bone tender. It didn't even require BBQ sauce. As I was devouring over my ribs, noticed my family was too. Quite atmosphere, just wished they had outside seating. Simple, bare bone interior except for the trophies around... More

Its just that we had read good recensions about this place, because If you pass by this place.... holy crap...what a ugly restaurant!! Not really inviting. But when you come in, i think like a typical Texan restaurant. You can't go wrong on a combo with Brisket and Pull Pork or Brisket and Ribs, the food is delicious. And friendly... More

Great place for lunch. The ribs are excellent and the sides are very good. Have been to Angelo's many times and have not had a bad experience at any time. Is a little hard to get to right now due to road construction but worth the trouble.

Work colleagues and I were in town for a business trip and we asked where to find some good TX bbq close (ish) to our hotel, but not a chain. Angelo's was recommended and we are quite glad it was. Came in to the hazy blue smoke permeating from the restaurant and we were greeted at the counter by a... More

It's a joint. Not fancy in any way. They have very minimal service. They can't and wont' explain what is on their meat in terms of spices, nor are they good at explaining their dishes before you ordered them. Several members of our group loved the meal, others were stunned by their food being entirely different from what they expected.... More

I have been going here for many years and the ribs and cold beer are the best anywhere. Treat yourself!

If you are from here, you have probably grown up eating their ribs and have a few pics of you with their stuffed bear. My parents used to go on dates in the late 60's? There...And they had sawdust on the floor. Times have changed except for Angelos. We love it and visit frequently. Lots of old men (usually my... More

This was recommended by a friend. Ordered the half plate of beef, which comes with three sides. Just excellent all the way around. The beans, potato salad and slaw were just as tasty as the tender beef. What a great place to experience Texas BBQ. Most BBQ places have sides that taste like they are an after thought; not here.... Food- 4 stars Decor- 3 stars Service- 4 stars Good food and good service. The ribs are real good. Not the best I've had but solid choice. The beer is ice cold and yummy. So ice cold, it's frosty. When I am back in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, I will stop by. Decor is a bit tired.

Went to Angelo's for lunch. Parking was difficult and there was a long line to order. Had the brisket and ribs platter with beans, potato salad, bread and a pickle. Ribs were outstanding with a moderately spiced rub. Brisket was tender and moist. All staff was very friendly and helpful. I recommend trying here if you are in the area.
