On the road between El Paso and Carlsbad Caverns. This place is eye candy. Photos and interesting memorabilia everywhere The women that own and run the cafe are so interesting and nice to talk to. Menu written on weathered paper bags Try the excellent cornudas burger The turkey sandwich is real turkey not deli turkey. Excellent prices. Homemade pies ,... More

On our second trip to hike Guadalupe, Cornudas Cafe was open. It's a small cafe run by Mae (sp?) and her daughter Debbie. When we arrived, Debbie said we could sit anywhere. The table we picked was theirs! It had their half filled coffee cup, soda, OTC pills and open bags of candy. We double checked if this table was... More

We stopped at May's after cycling from El Paso, lunch was amazing - especially the burgers. We stayed overnight behind the cafe where there are 5 hook ups. Awesome views at sunset and perfect WiFi. Oh, and the pies were pretty special as well!

The highway signs say no service for the next 100 miles, but May's is about mid way through that. Be sure to stop. It's very eclectic with very friendly service. There is a little gift shop with lots of goodies. Unfortunately she has not kept it up very well but hunt around for some interesting finds. I got a piece... More

Those with no taste for eccentricity should avoid this throwback diner -- unless they're really hungry, 'cause the cafe is the only place to eat for about 75 miles outside of El Paso and about an hour and a half in the other direction. However, those who like a schizophrenic menu full of down-home food in a place reminiscent of... More

My family and I literally ran into Cornudas Cafe on our way from El Paso to Carlsbad Caverns. We were driving in the middle of nowhere when we came across this wonderful little oasis. The cafe is down home cooking with a no nonsense attitude. I love reading all of the fun, don't put up with any crap signs inside.... More

We stopped for a late lunch after a visit to Carlsbad caverns. The food was unique. The burgers are almost a figure 8 shape--with lettuce, tomato, onion, & mustard. they were very tasty. one member of our party had a fish sandwich and she said it was good. Plenty of ice water with lemon was offered. We enjoyed the food... More

If you think Cornudas Cafe makes a great burger then I feel so sorry for you. $9 for a very sad terrible burger. I cannot understand all these great reviews. This was easily the worst restaurant and service I have ever experienced.

Although the menu is not printed on fancy paper, the menu has a unique appeal; this nice little place served tasty meals. I had a Cornudas Berger it was very juicy with tomato and onions and green chilly. I do not usually order burgers but this burger was worth it. The French fries were very good. I was with a... More

Like many travelers, we found this restaurant along the way to Guadalupe National Park. What a pleasant surprise. You simply must stop here. Take my word on it. Clean establishment with lots of local flavor. Try their signature burger and their out-of-the-ordinary French Fries. Most meals come with salsa and chips. I don't hand out 5 stars very often, so...
