Visited Dodies Cajun Diner in Coppel near Dallas for dinner with some business associates. We sat outside which was enjoyable in the evening. The drink specials were plentiful and reasonable. We shared the Bang Bang Shrimp - it has a "kick" to it, which we all enjoyed. Each of us settled on the Catfish and Jumbo Shrimp combo - two... More

I've eaten at this creole joint countless times and have always had a good experience. The poboys, crawfish Metairie, and stuffed mushrooms are our favorites. Great family atmosphere. We prefer it over the newer location a few blocks north.

It's been a few years since I've been to Dallas and visited Greenville Ave. I remembered going to Dodie's in the mid 90's and whenever I was in town for business over the last 20 or so years. There was a guy named Chris which I think was the owner. Very personable, fun guy with a great attitude. The kind... More

My wife and I have always like Dodie's, and have visited many times when we're close by for what at least use to be great seafood. Well, we went one too many times apparently. On our latest visit, there was really nothing about the experience that would bring us back. Lipstick on a water glass, food that none of us... More

Been here a few times now and very authentic Cajun food with a sports bar feel. The food has been really good and my family and I have eaten about half the menu. Best item I have had is the Roast Beef sandwich and gravy. Seriously awesome! Menu is a bit expensive for with only a few items (appetizers) under... More

Great Customer Service from the servers. The food was great. The crawfish alfreado pasta is something light and great to get you through, especially for a moment to get away and have "chill" time. Perfect for a date. Nice and cozy for conversation as well. Definitely worth a revisit.

More of a watering hole than a cajun restaurant. If you want to sit on the patio and do drinks with friends this is the place to do it. If you want a real cajun meal this isn't it.

It's been too many years since visiting. Nice early evening crowd inside and out on the patio. The crab cake mushroom balls were excellent. The mahi mahi was even better. We will return soon.

Stopped for crawfish & fried oysters. Drank Abita Amber. Been going here for 16 years, will continue as long as they'll stay open...This is the ORIGINAL. The others are OK, but the cooking is not the same.
