Great lunch once you get past all of the Republican memorabilia. Portions are a tad small for the price but there aren't many restaurants to choose from in the area. Plenty of room for large groups.

We love trying the local food as opposed to chains. This was a really good find. I had the lunch special which was Fried catfish...so good! Cute gift shop and food items for sale. Will definitely go again when nearby!

Their website says they serve breakfast all day and they don't! We got there at 11:00 a.m. wanting brunch and were told they usually stop serving breakfast at 10:30. The server did go to the cook to see if he would do one for us and he did. The over medium eggs were just right and tasty as was the... More

We heard about this place and decided to reroute our trip so we could stop to eat. They do close at 2:30 instead of 5:00. The burger on their onion bun was awesome. We ordered onion rings and they were fresh made and very yummy. You can't go wrong by stopping here. They offer many other food options. I will... More

Had ribeye sandwich and hamburger with fries. Both good...Hard to screw up. Lots of atmosphere in this downtown location. Worth the visit. Note...They close at 230 not 500 as TripAdvisor indicates.

We arrived at 2:20 based on Trip Advisors posted times of 8-5. No other times available on cafe's website. Consequently, I can't review the cafe but want to make sure that no one else finds a locked door when they arrive.

A lunch stop at the Moosehead cafe in Crockett Texas. Definitely a local place with local color and decor. Down home food. I had a salad - that was very good. Service was very good, food was very good

I enjoyed the hospitality and the food. Everything was great. They do not have lemon to go with tea. That is a shame as I feel that Tea and lemon go together. At any rate, small complaint as everything was perfect.

On the Square in crockett..this restaurant is larger than it looks..and it was packed with customers..The food is plain but very good. There were several waitresses on duty so service was quick and good. Blue Bell ice cream is sold here along with several selections of coffee beans...we were passing through and happy we stopped.

This busy place on the square has good food and fun atmosphere. There is usually a daily special (my boss loves Meatloaf Wednesday!) and my personal favorite is the Chicken fajita on flat bread. They also sell jars of jellys and pickles, as well as coffee beans and old fashioned candy. Just a warning - the owners are conservative and... More
