This was a great place to go for dinner out with friends. I ordered the salmon which was ok and a couple ordered fish tacos that were not so great but everyone else ordered various fried appetizers and main dishes and they said it was all delicious. I was quite jealous. So if you go to The Gin, eat fried!

Very good chicken fried steak. Easy in and easy out. Great patio dining and plenty of seating throughout. If having a group get together don't pay the fee to hold a table. There's always an open table. I felt it was a little greedy to call it a deposit and after the meal call it a holding fee. $50 wasted... More

We stopped in and had lunch after deciding to give this place another try. We had eaten here before but weren't impressed with the service or the food. However; this time the service was exceptional and the food was very good. Prices were also reasonable.

We recently moved here, and this was our first night out. We only had to wait about 15 minutes for a table. There was live music outdoors and lots of activities down by the creek (ducks, children, people who should have chosen other swimsuits to wear in public-😂). Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable about the drinks and food. What... More

We stopped for lunch and had a great meal by the river on Easter Sunday. The view was nice, and the food and service were great.

The Weigh Station really adds to the Gin (and creek) experience. We love to stop by after eating supper or just taking the grandkids to the creek. The staff is awesome and the soft-serve yogurt is mighty tasty. Thanks for opening it back up.

The Gin Burger and Mahi-Mahi Tacos were excellent, service was great, and the area around the restaurant is very interesting and fun.

My family and I were in the area for the state archery tournament and looked up a local place to eat. We came across The Gin. Service: -No wait for a table. -Excellent service! -Since my niece participated in the tournament and did well, the manager offered a complimentary dessert--very thoughtful! Atmosphere: -indoor/outdoor seating -accommodates small and large parties -farmhouse... More

Very rustic place right in quiet downtown. Large areas for seating and patio seating available. Patio has a nice view of the river. Food is quite good. Chicken fried steak was good. Not an oversize Texas fill your plate size but a good portion for 1 person. Nice salad and the garlic mashed potatoes were good. Huge club sandwich was... More
