When I travel, I like most people tend to go to Starbucks, but when I am in Bastrop, nothing else will do but Coffee Dog Roastery and Coffee Shop. In-house roasted beans, great staff, free WIFI and an owner with a good heart! For breakfast,...More
This place is over-rated: 1-They didn't know how to pull a true espresso. I ordered a double espresso and received a cup of about 8oz (many times more than the ~30g that it should be). 2-Their roasted beans are not marked with when they were...More
I am sorry you had a bad experience. When were you in? I will address this issue with staff. Our coffee is fresh roasted in house. They should have dates on the bags. We roast 3-4 times a week.
Nice size with plenty of room and good selection of food. Coffee types were all present, but the coffee was not the best i have had. It is definitely recommended
When I meet people for coffee or convenient deliveries of goods, it's always coffee dog. "Meet me at the Dawg". It's also where I spent much time during fire evacuation of 2011 so it holds a special Place in my heart. Good people. Good coffee,...More
The servers were very polite and helpful. The coffee and tea is wonderful and the food served is fresh and served in a timely manner.
Super stuffed breakfast tacos are worth buying. The pastries are mediocre. Coffee drinks are fairly good. Free wifi and way more quiet than Starbucks.

I ordered a yummy scone and spinach quiche. It was really good. Wasn't really inexpensive, but I've paid a lot more. The coffee was good as well.
This was a great stopping place for coffee for years when commuting. Love the staff and drive through window. I see they stay busy at the location closer to tractor city in the old Super S parking lot...ya'll know what I' m talking about...lol
