This dish is so good I ordered it two nights in a row. Queso was good. Salsa fresh, but a little too spicy. Margarita was terrible. If you like carbonated margaritas, then you’ll like it.

Passing through on the way to California. Cute little house with each room painted a different color - very neat and clean. Bathroom was clean and well appointed. I got the flautas and they were wonderful! My friends had the bear claw plate which had...More
After a day at the pool we were looking for a good place to eat in Balmorhea and we found it at Cueva de Oso. Comfortable surroundings and good, not just average, but good Tex-Mex food. Generous servings and courteous staff.

Stopped in here for lunch before visiting the State Park. It was surprisingly good, especially for being way out here. My plate included flautas, a taco, and a tamale. The tamale was a little dry, but the flautas were excellent. Nice, no-hassle kind of place.
Stopped into Cueva de Oso during a long road trip across Texas. The food was delicious, the restaurant was lovely, and the service came with a smile. It was well worth the detour. Would definitely recommend.
My husband and I stopped in at Cueva de Oso for lunch. The sign said they were the "cutest" restaurant in the area. I have to agree with that statement. The food was fresh and home made. Service was laid back but I wouldn't say...More
