We thought this might be the place to have lunch when we saw all the cars outside. Even though it was 1:30, we got a table pretty quick, though others after us had a bit of a wait. Delicious sandwiches, include a very reasonably price rib eye sandwich, cooked to desired doneness from a whole steak. And as others have... More

I had a half sandwich and a bowl of potato soup. It was good, but the soup was not hot, only lukewarm... but still tasty. It was a busy place, but service was kind of slow. My feet were freezing the entire time we were there. Kind of drafty under the tables. I enjoyed the paintings of trees around the... More

The food was really good, especially the chicken salad sandwich they had on special. The fried okra was to die for. Loved the service. The kid's chicken fingers were a little over cooked. Otherwise, a great dining experience.

Some places in pigeon forge are all about getting as many people in and out. But black bear cafe is focused on your individual attention and needs. The food was amazing and fresh. It's amazing.

This is a small, down home cafe with delicious food and a HUGE selection of home made desserts. Went twice while in Townsend. Don't be surprised if you have to wait for a table.

Went here with a large hiking group. The Reuben sandwich and hamburgers are amazing. The fries were good. No complaints here. The staff was friendly and prices were reasonable. Will definitely be back..

The quality of the food at this restaurant was not very good at all. (Specifically the meatloaf). It had the consistency of soggy wet bread and no flavor. Could not eat it... we will not return.

An employee in a Townsend store told us that this is the best place to eat and recommended the cheeseburgers. We went about 3pm on a Sunday afternoon had to wait about 20 minutes since there are only 10-12 tables. The staff was pleasant and efficient and although it was very busy, the place was very clean. We ordered the... More
