Stationed in Germany for three years. Look is somewhat like they where when I was there. The food was good but nothing spectacular. Service was excellent, a young man from Armenia. This has to be an on vacation, forget the budget and go once place....Let me assure you, this retired Tennessee college administrator can’t stand the prices in our budget. Thought it was terribly overpriced. Lunch bill was more than we typically spend at a nice restaurant for dinner on a special occasion. This will be a one time experience.More

My daughter and I don't get many chances to meet for lunch, so when we do, we always want it to be at a pleasant restaurant, with good food and an uncrowded dining area, so we can talk and enjoy our meal. Today, we ate...at the Bavarian Beirhaus for the first time. What a nice place, with plenty of room, fast and friendly service, knowledgeable staff who actually WANTED to help, and a menu with more than enough choices! We really enjoyed it, and we will definitely be back again! PS--the prices are fair, for the quality and quantity of the food! Oh, and don't forget to try the German pretzel!More

We were so excited to have our family reunion members meet up for a german night out. Well, we got the German Food (excellent meal), we got the German looking atmosphere (big tables and big hall), service was great, and then came the lack luster...music. I think they only played three german songs and one because we requested it. Disappointed. We were looking for the whole German experience and only got part of it. They would do so much better if they had someone there that played German music and the polkas and cheers. What a Shame. Don't think we will be back.More

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I am happy to see that everything was great but you were just disappointed in the genre of music on the particular day you were there. Keep in mind we are an Oktoberfest Themed restaurant...More

The food was good with live music and dancing. The beer on tap was also great! Would definitely eat here again.

Having lived in Germany for 8 1/2 years and enjoying October Fest, Bad Canstaat Fest, Wurst Fest in Bad Durkheim, etc, etc, you are not even close to being "authentic". I would have left when told you don't even have menus, which I assume is...because of COVID. You have jumped on the bandwagon of offering substandard service because of a purported pandemic. Not only no menus, no check so I can see what I am being charge for. The waiter was incompetent, impatient, you name it, et al. The beer was OK, but many craft breweries do a much better job. The schweinhaxe was OK, but the spaetzle was not even close to being edible. Having read the history of how the two owners started this were former soldiers, I really looked forward to dining there. I am a retired Master Sergeant since 1979. You are lucky to be in a tourist area, because I'm sure you don't get much repeat business. If you happen to get to Colorado Springs, eat at the Edelweiss which I consider to be the best example of an authentic German restaurant I have found in the USA.More

Thanks for the candid review, we will take your comments to the team and try and make some benefit from this. All our beer is imported straight from Bavaria and I disagree that any Craft brewery can come close to what the Germans so. As...More

Gotta say, when we first walked in the door from the parking lot, we were a little put off by the hostess leaning over the counter and exposing her entire bottom half to whoever walked in, but whatever. We arrived a little early for our...reservation, and were seated right away. Our waitress did take a long time to get to us, and by that time we had decided to order through the QR code on the table. We only saw our waitress one time after that, and had to wait for our food to come to ask for refills on our drinks. We ordered the shanks and sausage platter, and the food was pretty decent. I don't have experience with authentic German food, so I can't be the best judge on that. I did enjoy the cucumber salad and potato salad. I do prefer hot German potato salad, but the flavors were still there and good. We did also order the Rueben egg rolls, and they were okay, although very greasy. The decor inside and even outside is very well done, and beautiful. I'm not sure we'd go back again if we were ever in the area, but it was worth to try once! We don't drink beer, so maybe we missed out on some of the experience.More

This place had very good German deco. The beer was good the server ran her tail off and was very good. The food well, I am of German descent, so my expectations were a little high. Not bad just not all that.

Best authentic German food. I lost our only original German Restaurant where i live in Melbourne, FL and travel frequently to Nashville. Decided to check this restaurant for German Food. Out standing. I always get jagerschnitzel, red cabbage and spaetzel. We were not disappointed. Loved...it with brown gravy and mushrooms. All I can say is I will be coming here every one of my 3-4 visits a year.More

We've been customers at this restaurant for many years. We had a few ups and downs due to covid issues and not having a lot of staff on hand. We stopped in early Sunday afternoon which surprised us that it was really quiet. As we...were escorted to a table, the hostess talked to a waiter that was finishing up two tables. He said something and the hostess looked around but went ahead and sat us in his area. We waited for about ten minutes and the waiter kept going in and out of the kitchen and trying his best not to look at us. Then we watched another couple that was seated in another area after us, got their drinks and placed a food order. Our waiter came back out with another waitress, and they were really taking their time cleaning off the table together. About ten more minutes passed and we tried to get someone's attention. The two employees at the table wouldn't even look at us, when we tried to get help from the hostess, she scampered away. We got up and started toward the door when I tried to get the waiters attention. He just kept staring at the table trying not to make eye contact. We have always enjoyed coming here and recommended this place to many friends. It's definitely going to be awhile before we return.More

The bier was excellent as always, but the sauerbraten was inedible. We had to send it back at first because it was stone cold (even though it came out within 5 minutes of ordering). We got another order that was hot, but not flavorful at...all and the meat was very tough and chewy. Our friends ordered the fish and chips and they were very good, so we ordered a side of fries and left the sauerbraten on the plate. This was our first time back in almost 3 years and the quality of the German food has really gone down. We’ll come back, but not for dinner.More

We fry them crispy as a rule. That's the way I like them too. But if you want to be certain, please just ask your server to ensure they come out that way. Prost! Bob
