Great take away food

I visjted this Chinese restaurant for a take away evening meal and was amazed at the quality and taste of the food. I've had a several meals from here over the last 12 months and they have all been to a high standard and good prices. This Chinese restaurant is equally as good, if not better than most Chinese restaurants in Melbourne.

Amazing food best Chinese meal i have had in years!!!! Better than back home in Scotland🙌

We ordered the spring rolls, Sweet and Sour Chicken for myself and Singapore vegetable noodles for my wife who is Vegan. I had a little bit of everything, it was cooked to perfection and delicious. Pity i don’t stay local or this would be my takeaway of choice every week! 5/5***** Will definitely come back to Yea even if its only for a chinese meal!! Highly recommend!

Take away and heaps of it

This restaurant doesn't look much from the outside but I had a fancy to have chinese so we thought we would give it a go. We were very pleasantly surprised. We ordered a dish each and a fried rice and a couple of entrees. The amount of food was huge and the quality was much better than expected. We ate as much as we could but still have enough for another night and this is considering the meal was very tasty and well prepared. We would certainly recommend this restaurant.

Very disappointing. Doesn't live up the reviews.

We went for dinner because of the good reviews. It was the most disappointing chinese meal we've ever had. Small portions, incredibly bland fried rice and a combination omelette that had maybe two or three bits of meat, no prawns or anything else. We will never go back and fully regret driving the half hour to get there.

Absolutely the best Chinese restaurant Eddy the owner & cook is marvellous remembers all ur names and the service is great. You will never leave hungry. unfortunately Eddy is retiring this year this place will be missed.

This place is amazing and I'm so sad to learn leaving me,my family and the whole of yea will miss this beloved store if it's still open and Ur questioning to go, do it's amazing and u will cherish the memories

Twenty Plus years been coming to Eddy’s Chinese Restaurant

My family and I have been coming to Yea Chinese Restaurant for twenty plus years. Firstly when we lived in the area, now we always call in for Take Away when passing. This time our take away consisted of home made fried dim sims ( really delicious) and our good old favourites, lemon chicken, sweet and sour pork and fried rice. Very generous portions and most delicious. Phone ahead to order and you won’t even have to wait 😄

Good food but slow service

A good find for a small town, lovely Chinese food, well-prepared, but service was slow and meals were a long time in coming. Clearly not enough staff as the restaurant was quite full and we had only one person serving.

We often drop in here on our way back home to Alexandra. The chef is most friendly and skilled artisan. Guaranteed excellent tasty food to go. It's a few years since we dined in so my comments are limmited to take away. High praise.

Great service and good food

Affordable Chinese dine in and take away on the main strip of Yea. Really friendly staff with a menu typical of any suburban Chinese restaurant. The decor is old school but it adds to the charm. Most meat dishes are $13.80. Closes 9pm.

We got take out. Had combination noodles and lemon chicken. Meat I noodles was very poor quality. Lemon chicken was not bad. But overall tasteless food. Such a shame. I love Chinese food!
