The food at their restaurant was truely delicious. Everything we ordered was freshly made and just so tasty. One of the staff recommended the lamb pizza, so we ordered that, along with the chicken wings, truffle fries and breads with dukkah. A scrumptious meal.

Really yummy food in a lovely setting. Not overly cheap but food was good quality. It's a great place to stop after a day visiting Healesville Sanctuary! Nice ambiance and a little bit different....

Top dinner with family and friends. Delicious wines that come in funky conical flasks, awesome paella, pizza and chicken wings. Just order one of everything and share. Quick, attentive service, even given kids menus and colouring pencils without asking. Nice warm restaurant on a cold...More

Dropped in for a late lunch on recommendation from a family member who recently ate here. Did not disappoint, we order a meat board and some truffle fries, everything was very tasty. The rabbit patte thing on the meat board was great! Recommended a visit....More

Our flights were delayed by 6-7 hours, and we had some time available so headed to the Yarra Valley for lunch, and some sightseeing. We ended up at Healesville and then at the brand new Innocent Bystander set-up. What a terrific operation. Large open spaces,...More

I was surprised to see Innocent Bystander separated from Giant Steps. But I guess their identities have always been a bit different. Sat by the fireplace, had a cappuccino & churros! Nice, chill hangout!

the food here was amazing, they had some lovely wine (the moscato is a must), and the staff were genuinely kind and interested! If you're considering where to go for dinner, definitely give this place a go!

We visited here recently because it was a nice day for a drive in the country. We called in for lunch and decided on the Blanca wood fired pizza with cauliflower, caramelised leeks, Gorgonzola cheese, ricotta and Parmesan. It was certainly a different pizza but...More

We have just had dinner on a Tuesday evening at this restaurant and wine retailer. The menu is principally pizza, paella, salads, platters and dips, together with Innocent Bystander wines. I would highly recommend this restaurant which is only six months into its life -...More

Dined here for lunch on Saturday on our way to Healesville. Big venue. We shared the spicy pork pizza which was really tasty and spicy – would have been good if there was more quantity of pork on the pizza as minimal but what we...More

Hi, we only visit there every now and then, and have not heard of there being entertainment on weekends. A great place for a meal though!!

I would like to know if anyone in the world considers Miles Davis and progressive jazz and muted trumpets; relaxing? I would also like to know if IB will ever consider me seriously. I am not a fool but an ex music teacher, and I have a reasonably good lounge room recording set up at home. I also would like to know if and when IB will consider acoustic shells hung from the ceiling. I wonder if the sound level is within comfortable range. I do have a sound meter which I used when accompanying a young student of mine to the VCA, which also has sound level meters in the percussion dept. I have always rated IB's food as probably, for a similar type restaurant, as 80% or even 90%. It's a pity that any meetings between staff and I have been vexatious and confrontational. When can I have a mature meeting of minds about IB and Giant Steps?

I agree with you, however, the place is often nearly empty during a winter week and they rely on people like me, regulars, to keep the place open. The management is arrogant, I admit and it will be a great day, if ever, to... More

Description
It's a cellar door, restaurant, bar and cafe all rolled into one. Serving exceptional Innocent Bystander wines (including our famous Moscato) and outstanding wood-fired pizzas along with paellas and share boards for all day dining. Did I mention that we serve Allpress coffee and a range of delicious pastries from Burnham Beeches Bakery as well? Come on over.
