We went here with friends to experience this often- considered venue and were not let down. We were early and had to wait at the zinc-surfaced bar for a drink, which was ok but I was surprised that we were subjected to a little "attitude" from the barman.. In any event, once the team managed to seat us for dinner,... More

We were taken by our local friends to this local neighborhood pub. the restaurant served up great food in a smart environment. Upmarket and modern pub restaurant. Good selection, great service. Its local so probably not for mainstream visitors, but we found it a great spot for dinner

after years of dining at the Centennial and enjoying consistently good food - on Saturday March 4th we booked to dine early. whilst the flat bread (pizza) entrée was fine our main meals were very disappointing. My husband ordered the vegetarian pasta to which he had seafood added - this came out looking dry and uninviting - it actually looked... More

Nothing better than a Sunday lunch with family and friends and Hotel Centennial was the perfect choice. The menu is full of old fashioned comfort food and nothing can top a roast on a Sunday for me. Started with the Prawn Cocktail (see what I mean about comfort food) and this one came without the standard cocktail glass but on... More

The was my first venture to Hotel Centennial, joint friends in "The Library" for drinks and snacks. The decor was stunning and the quality of food and wine list was great! This could be a more regular stop going forward!

This is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is top of the range boutique pub food. However on our last visit the prices had gone up 10 to 15% and the size of the servings seemed a little smaller. Despite that we will give it another go just in case our last visit was a one off.

Exquisite hotel, each room is an inviting space furnished to perfection. Terrific drinks list with a wide variety of beer, wine, cocktails & spirits. The interesting menu looked more fine dining than bistro. The grand piano & the extra long boardroom style table add class to this very impressive hotel.

Dinner with a fussy, hard to please elderly lady at Hotel Centennial went without a hitch, she loved it so much she even shouted us all. Service was friendly and professional, and food delicious. The atmosphere in the dining room is absolutely delightful, and I love that its not noisy here even when its busy. No one had any complaints... More

The renovations are amazing, the food stupendously good, and the vibe, relaxed and welcoming. If this is not on your dinning radar, get a new satelite dish. You will thank me for it

Description
April 2014 - Halcyon Hotels officially opened Hotel Centennial in Woollahra with Justin North as Executive chef following their purchase of the venue in February 2014.

Halcyon Hotels currently operates the recently renovated Woolwich Pier Hotel, voted Best Pub and awarded three Schooners in the SMH Good Pub Guide 2014.

The extensive makeover was overseen by award-winning design group Luchetti Krelle and Hotel Centennial's elegant, yet relaxed new look inspired by the gastro pubs and hotels of Europe, will be sure to once again establish the venue as one of Sydney's top drinking and dining destinations.

The interiors feature an eclectic mix of custom made furniture and antiques set against an impressive collection of contemporary photography, creating the welcoming feel of a private home.

Executive Chef Justin North and his team, headed up by Tom Deadman, have stayed clear of any fad dining themes with the food offering and designed a menu that focuses on their take on classic, good value comfort food.
