Nice place to sit and watch the sunset but the bouncer was behaving ridiculously. I took a photo of the sunset with him in it and he came and ordered me to delete it for 'security reasons'. Absurd and intimidating.

Poor initial presentation. Taken to table and had to ask to have crushed food swept off floor underneath. Food way over priced. A $34 steak resembled a $12 lunchtime special thin non charred rump steak grey in colour. Chicken snitzel was small, thin and burnt....More

This place has always been expensive but today we paid $92 for two (enormous) beers, some chicken wings and an onion ring and mushroom basket. The basket had only one half of a field mushroom in it. When we queried this we were told that...More

I have been going to the Bavarian at Manly ever since it opened and always loved the place. Over the last couple of years the service and standard has gone down to a very low standard. Sometimes it can take up to 20 minutes to...More

We were staying at the Q Station at Manly and decided to go into Manly and have dinner at the Bavarian at Manly Wharf. Love my German food and beer, so we were really looking forward to eating there. Unfortunately our keenness was shot down...More

Have been a lover of the Bavarian Bier Cafe for years – drank at BBCs at Bondi, Artarmon, Chatswood, Parramatta and Manly, and my eldest boy had his 18th there – but last night at Manly was a disaster. Sure the location is great, but:...More

Beautiful view from this restaurant situated on manly harbour. We stopped in here on our way to the Qstation for the night. The food was delicious even if we just had German hotdogs and a free pretzel because we liked the Bavarian club on Facebook....More

A 40-minute ferry ride from Circular Quay will take
you to the famous northern beach of Manly. The beaches
here are perfect for learning to surf or spending the
day sun-tanning. The walk from Spit Bridge to Manly is
a great way to experience Sydney Harbour Bay and the
Australian bush land. Along the foreshore, there are
plenty of watering holes and wine bars with excellent
cuisine. There are plenty of kid-friendly restaurants

Overlooking stunning Manly Cove, Bavarian Bier Cafe Manly Wharf features large tables and spaces set aside for birthdays, celebrations and corporate functions, plus a cosy fireplace for the colder months. Along with fabulous modern fare, there are 10 draught Bavarian Biers on tap and 10 imported Bavarian Biers available by the bottle.
