We were looking forward to a great Greek feast as recommended to us. Saturday night and we arrived 20 mins later than booking and were questioned about the time and told to wait for a table -we found one eventually outside and sat and waited. Called over a waitress to order drinks and the then they cleaned our table. We... More

I'd walked past in the afternoon and thought "Yes, we'll have some Greek food for dinner", whilst on a weekend at Manly. When we went back the place was largely empty, which didn't seem like a good sign at 8:30, just a couple of tables taken. The waiter was a little unsure of the menu and of everything, but actually... My wife and I had lunch here on Feb 5. Most places do not open for lunch on Manly beach before noon. We were seated here at 11:30am. The waiter was a young lad very eager and happy to serve his customers. He was able to provide power for our phones while we eat. We have had the opportunity to... More

We live near this restaurant and have wanted to go to it for a long time as good Greek restaurants are few and far between in Sydney. This one came fairly highly regarded and it's true it is in an amazing location (but like I said, we live nearby, so that wasn't a big seller for us - it may... More

This place used to be the best Greek restaurant in Sydney; it seems to have changed management (not Greek anymore) and the food and service is average at best. It took 45 minutes for the entree to arrive and it was nothing special; the main course was terrible. It's such a shame, as this place used to be really authentic... More

Lunch here was average at best. Greek salad was nothing like one, more like a garden salad with an olive put in. Souvlaki was nice, but bread was like you'd buy at coles and again the greek salad wasn't a greek salad. Side order of olives - they were almost gone off. The only dish which was reasonably authentic was... More

Before I rip into this place, I should try to qualify these words; Greek wife, and I've worked in and around hospitality for nearly 30 years. If you are going to have back packers as staff, at least get some that have some idea of service or experience. I actually felt sorry for them as it got busy - they... More

Popped into my usually favorite Monday night souvlaki special at OUZERIA Manly, only to be told that during Summer it's not on, but will be back in Winter. This would be fine if the food and service were as good as in the past. Unfortunately, the quality of food is poor, service is non existent and the place looks dirty.... More

We chose Ouzeria as we really enjoy Greek food and because we had a 3 year old with us we chose to eat lunch very early so as not to disrupt others. The food was simple and delicious. The timing of service to the table was almost perfect. The octopus that we shared was amazing. Will happily return!!

Everything was excellent EXCEPT the man running the place. He didn't have a clue on how to organise himself or his restaurant. All staff and food was wonderfull. Management needs to be more customer and STAFF friendly. Felt sorry for the staff working under this management.

Staying in Manly

Neighbourhood Profile
Manly
A 40-minute ferry ride from Circular Quay will take you to the famous northern beach of Manly. The beaches here are perfect for learning to surf or spending the day sun-tanning. The walk from Spit Bridge to Manly is a great way to experience Sydney Harbour Bay and the Australian bush land. Along the foreshore, there are plenty of watering holes and wine bars with excellent cuisine. There are plenty of kid-friendly restaurants as well, especially along the family-oriented areas like Shelly Beach. An excellent way to experience Manly is to rent a bike and explore the dedicated bike paths and off road trails. The North Head National Park is another must-see. Located on the southern tip of Manly, North Head National Park offers great bushwalks and panoramic views of the city.
