Highly Recommend this Restaurant

We tried Dkakasin and the food was delicious. I tried the Blue Swimmer Crab dish and what a treat. My friends asked for a Veg dish which was not on the menu. The waiter was so helpful and the Chef cooked the meal which was delicious. We all decided to return another time and highly recommend the restaurant.

Great mid week dinner - My

Great mid week dinner - My partner and I enjoyed some authentic South Indian dishes . Service was friendly and efficient . Of course we over ordered as there were too many great dishes to choose from but we were able to pack our own take away boxes and enjoy for lunch the next day . Wine list was good too !

Good food and service.

We really enjoy eating at Dhakshin as the food never disappoints. The dosa is a favourite with all of us, followed by flavoursome curries and naan bread. You never feel like you are being rushed to leave after dinner, the Staff are lovely.

Found 2 small flying cockroaches

Food was good but we found one cockroaches, one of which fell on the table next to my partners plate during the meal. No one acknowledged this from the restaurant. We paid full price & left. Without the insect experience, we would have gone again for the food.

Not what it used to be

When this place first started and for a few years it was brilliant and the best Indian in Crows Nest. We hadn't been for a few years and returned last night. Very disappointed. Curries lacked flavour, just drowned in pepper. Not sure what has happened.

Amazing Dinner!

My family adores and is quite familiar with Sri Lankan food. This restaurant brought us close to the experience. The dishes were all bright, flavorful, and spectacular. We'll be back to try the other dishes! YUM YUM YUM!

the food was okay and the service was good. The food was a little different to what I was expecting it first time i've tried this Indian restaurant. Don't think ill come back not my cup of tea.

Simple ethnic ambience, good veg / non veg options, great tasting good every time and warm service.

Loved the food, loved the service. The dishes are traditional, with some not so common dishes making their appearance. The food is not too hot, and with the right amount of spice and flavour. I had the Laccha paratha which was the flakiest, non greasy kind I have had in a long long time. The roasted smoked brinjal accompaniment was perfect too. My friend had the lamb korma with the saffron jira rice and was not disappointed either. Highly recommend their paniyaaram and other entrees. To finish off, the Vethalappam was the right texture, the right amount of sweetness and the right flavours. Has become a preferred restaurant now!

Best hospitality

I came here with my friends and I must say I have the best dining experience here and the food was at its best. Especially the person name Palanivel have clearly explained about the dishes. The must try dish is Crab rasam and in deserts go for badam halwa.

Indian glory

Well I have had many times Indian cuisine mainly in Singapore. Dhakshin has to rather one of the best for Southern Indian food. Service was excellent. For me I shall return when next in town.

Check it out, the lamb seekh kebab and masala chai (ginger and cardamom tea) were the highlights. It’s my first time but my curiosity wasn’t let down. Park at Woolworths.

Saturday Night Dinner

Food was fantastic and service was good. Only downfall was that someone farted during our dinner which made the experience unsettling. Otherwise highly recommend!!!

Wonderful staff

A group of 14 of us had a banquet dinner at Dhakshin last night - the food was interesting and delicious, generous portions, tasty and the staff were very attentive and accomodated every request with a smile. We will definitely return.
